  1. I live right on the east coast of Florida, so hurricanes are no surprise this time of year.

For everyone traveling to meet your ship, be careful. We will all have a fabulous cruise despite A LITTLE RAIN AND WIND. Yes, the power of persuasion. :)

Anyway, as one person mentioned for nausea, lemon and ginger ale.........ginger ale is fabulous. Also, the little magnetic bracelets that the ship sells for $10, believe it or not.......THEY WORK! They are pressure point bracelets and worth every penny. My feeling, if you need them they are great to have on standby. One thing, if you even think you'll have a problem, put them on because once the feeling of seasickness starts coming on the bracelets WILL NOT stop it. Trust me! I've never needed them on a cruise ship, but on the little gambling boats and they worked!!!

Happy, safe sailing to us all!!!

  2. Is Christmas day even a port day? I would think that many lines would spend the day at sea for the reasons mentioned - too many venues would be closed.

Now you know - if you book this trip your shopping opportunities will be very, very limited.

One would think, but there appear to be 5 ships in St Thomas Christmas Day.

It's all good.....as one poster mentioned.....we can make snow angels in the sand.

    Thank you! :D

  3. Thank you everyone for your replies.

We have decided to make the best of any situation during the day. Open shops or not.

If this is a day that the locals share with their family and friends, my Husband and I totally respect that......after all, the island is beautiful in it's own right, we will find something to do I'M SURE.

Happy Holidays to all, and Happy-Happy Cruising! :D
