This is a new and interesting thread.  I don't have an answer but my first inclination would be that your husband would be the first one to take on the responsibility.  I am sure if you asked your waiter, he would assist you.  But I can't imagine the waiter standing over your meal waiting for you to take the next bite.  Doubt the kitchen would send out a plate of cut up food (but I could be wrong).

Oh no, I would expect them to cut the whole piece at  once. we sit at a table for 2 across from each other and thought it might be awkward passing back and forth but he would definitely do it for me.

I'd be shocked if the Assistant Waiter wouldn't take care of this for you.  A large share of their take home pay is based on tips!

Yes, we would definitely tip over and above the crew tips that are usually suggested.

  3. They didn’t use  to allow even oxygen concentrators on board but changed that last year. I did notify Princess about it ahead of time. When we got to the Port security held us up to inspect it for about 30 mins before they found out they no longer needed to. Enjoy your cruise

  4. Well as luck would have it, I fell last week and have fracture with a  brace on my right hand. Has anyone ever asked or know if the waiter or kitchen will cut my meat up or should I plan on my husband doing it?

We just returned from a week on the Ruby. I still have each day's list of activities, including movies. None of them are familiar to me except Top Gun Maverick.. If it would be helpful I could list several of them for you. The titles & their ratings might be familiar to you. Let me know if that would help. 😊

I would love it...sailing on Ruby in a couple of weeks

I didn't see this posted yet, so here is the CDC info on the current Ruby cruise. Mainly posting for those on the next sailing from Galveston because it could be delayed due to Vessel Sanitation Program inspectors meeting the ship on 3/5:

(BTW we have sailed on many ships after something like this (including crew in Hazmat suits spraying the ship, pre-Covid) and have never had any problems)

I'm no doctor, but JMO could be Noro?

As of 5:25 she is still docked

  8. i have had experience with this. My husband bought me a transporter. That is a walker that converts to a wheel chair. All 4 wheels are big, not like the little ones on regular walkers so it can go over any kind of terrain. When I get tired of walking, I can turn it into a wheelchair and he can push me. Now I can go anywhere with him and he doesn’t lose out on account of me. I wish you the best. Don’t give up. As the old saying says “Use it or lose it” Best wishes.

What fatbird is referring to is that Texas laws require that any alcohol served within Texas (and Texas waters) be purchased from an authorized Texas distributor.

Princess has chosen to purchase a minimum of brands from Texas distributors so beverage service is limited to those brands (beer, wine, whisky, etc.) that was purchased this way. Only a few bars are open until out of Texas waters.

Because of this, Princess will put a $25 OBC non-refundable "voyage disruption credit" on the account of everyone who has an alcohol beverage package.

Will they have a list of what is available for sail away?

  10. We have a cruise booked on Ruby Princess. I made a reservation for Express Parking blindly without knowing which terminal. Can anyone advise me as to the terminal for Ruby Princess and if Express parking is close? Princess doesn’t show any port information at the moment.
