Thanks loeb, that's about what I thought. You're correct in thinking we will already have been to Yokohama and Shimizu. Excursions get priority I think, we're DIY so won't be off very quickly I guess. I read a post saying immigration had set up on ship and took ages but that must have been first embarkation. :)

Hi, i will be doing a cruise next year with Celebrity and was wondering if they run a shuttle bus to and from cruise terminal to Yokohama railway station and pick up to take people to board.If not what is the best way to get to the terminal, we will be a party of four adults and baggage.

But I can't find any info to confirm this elswhere. Would be grateful for anyone who knows to confirm it on here.

Hi All, I'm going on the Millenium Asia cruise in September 16. It calls into Kobe, docking at 11am. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get off the ship? I'm trying to get an idea of train times to the places I want to see via Hyperdia. So, for example, am I likely to get the Portliner at 11.30? Or would that be too optimistic?

I realize that some ports/countries release passengers quicker than others.

We were on Millie for a Japan and China cruise last Oct/Nov. It was great.

Can't comment on the sushi, since we don't care for it, but we didn't find any of the other things that you commented on in your review. Of course, I stopped drinking orange juice since my potassium levels are up.

Hi Papa, saw you were on the Japan/China cruise last year and wondered if you could help me with a question?

How do we get into Shanghai from Baoshan when the cruise ends? Are there shuttles? The ship docks at 0700 which is a very busy time for taxis in Shanghai, how quickly do they get everyone off the ship?

And while I'm asking... which excursions did you find best?

Absolutely GUTTED by the removal of the Olympic restaurant. Ate there twice on our last Millie cruise and the meals were so memorable-some of the best ever!

We'd already booked to eat in the restaurant on our September cruise and have now had a refund. Why replace it with a steak restaurant-how dull!
