Would it be better to book the pinnacle grill pre-boarding or wait. This would probably be on the formal night in the MDR.  Would they discount the charge or would it be the same either way?

Just took a private Cuba shore trip with Blexie. We had a fabulous tour with Bill, one of Blexie's guides and a driver in an old car. The important thing to remember is that you are checking off "in support of the cuban people" NOT people to people on your visa application. The ship tours were not as good according to those who went on them. Enjoy!

Depending on what you want to see, I would recommend Southexcursions for a full day tour of Valparaiso, Vina del mar and Santiago. We also had a wine tasting and transfer to hotel and airport. Much less expensive than the ship and with a small group.
