We were able to pay for shore excursions with on board credit ahead of before cruise.

It showed on our booking and they let us pay with that.  It might depend on if the credit is from TA or part of perks from Celebrity.

I am a type 1 diabetic and have had our travel agent let the cruise line know ahead of time and never had a issue with getting a sharps container.

My Husband and I did this cruise Feb 2018 and want to do it again.  Husband was 68 at the time and has had both knees replaced and bad feet but no issues,  I highly recommend this cruise Expedition is a wonderful ship.

The staff is wonderful there is nothing to think about but what you want to do the next day.  We did the 11 day trip and loved it.

I will second what Shoalwater said, Viking also contacted us and seemed to be listening to both the bad and the good there were serious issues on this cruise and I think the next Amazon cruise will probably be better.

My hope is you will see some changes in ports of call for Brazil, more varied entertainment, more wait staff and better supply planning.

It is to bad for those of us on the 12/16/17 we spent a lot of money but can't go back and change it so will move on and will still have fond memories we met a lot of wonderful people and the ship is very nice. I told Viking of a private tour that we took in Manaus and the Rep seemed interested in hearing the details so maybe they will add it or parts of it to their tours.

We used Diego and had wonderful guides. If Patricia is still with him I would request her. Diego is very good at helping plan your days and arranging the things that are important to you to see. If you ask he will give outline

We also went with Patrick Watts and absolutely loved our tour. We were lucky enough to have Patrick as our guide. I will never forget the penguins they so amazing, especially the king penguins.

Hi deec we were on a Viking River cruise that went to Monet's gardens on May 3rd of this year and they were Beautiful. Hope this helps.

Anyone familiar with a Viking itinerary that includes the Amazon River?

We are sailing on Viking Sea that leaves 12/16/16 and does the caribbean and Amazon looks like 9 days out of 22 have to do with the Amazon.

We were on the 2/1/15 cruise and got very blessed by the weather. we made every port, Drakes passage was not rough. We also did the Patrick Watt's tour and highly recommend it I loved seeing all of the penguins especially the Kings.

It was nice to be able to go in and out on our balcony to warm up when need. We also went to Iguazu Falls and loved it, only spent one night there trying to save and really regretted it we wished we had spent at least 2 nights.

We booked a suite gty. thinking it would be assigned just before sailing and they assigned our cabin 2 days later to S2 accessible sky suite which have the roll in showers. They continued selling gty. suite and someone that did gty. after us got an S1. Not sure I would do a gty again.

We will be arriving May 2, 2016 coming off of a cruise would appreciate any suggestions for tour company suggestions. We will be staying at Hotel Brouwer.
