  1. Hello,

I will be travelling cruise only from Gran Canaria next Monday, and I am getting nervous about how I will find the check in desk and what to expect. It will be the first time I am not travelling as part of a package, so I won't have a rep to make sure I get to the right place!

    Any advice gratefully received.

    Thanks.

  2. Hello,

I would like to know if anyone has ever managed to get a double or twin on late availability with paying a hefty single supplement?

I have a very small window of holiday opportunity, and was thinking of leaving it until the last couple of days before cruise departure and calling them to ask if they would consider one passenger in a double or twin cabin, does anyone think I might get a bargain???

    Have a nice day.

  3. Hi,

what's the earliest you can check in at Southampton?

We are only doing a 3 night mini cruise, and want to make the most of the ship, and good weather tomorrow?

I do appreciate that we will have to wait for our cabin, but it would be nice to be able to lay out on deck in the afternoon sunshine!

    Thanks.

  4. Hi,

I am sure I have seen this here before, but as usual, when I need to confirm something, I can't find it!

Anyway, I am off on a mini cruise, 3 nights, soon and want to know if I have to keep my cases with me until cabin is ready, or do they take them at check in and deliver to my cabin as per longer duration cruises?

    Many thanks.

  5. Depends when you are thinking of going. Its a deluxe balcony with a bath/shower. That is what it is. The grade seems to change 2015/16. This would effect the cost.

That's why I am a bit confused? Is there any such thing as a standard balcony cabin on Arcadia, or are they all Deluxe balcony cabins? Do they have bigger/smaller in terms of square footage?

    Thanks.

  6. Hi,

I have just looked on the roll call forum, and could not find my up coming cruise, so I started one! (Over on the roll call forum!)

Seems a bit of faffing around to me to have separate forums for roll calls, can't see why they are not on the cruise line forum page, but hey ho, who am I to question?

Anyway, if you are on the cruise, look out for me, I will be wearing a big bright blue sun hat!:D

    Happy cruising!

  7. £15 one week £25 for two. Adaptors One European and one American. Take a 4 gang extension cable

The ship berth quite a way from the old town so either get a Taxi or bus. We tried walking but did not get anywhere nice in the first day heat. I had no problem getting my iPad in the safe outside plus cabin

I know this is an old thread, but is the cost still the same, £15 for one week on majesty?

Also, is the safe size random, or is it that the standard cabins have tiny safes and the standard plus cabins have bigger safes?

    Thanks.

  8. Hiya charabanc is it the Majesty you are on we are going on her 23rd May:)

Hi carolynne15, yes we will be on Majesty on May 23rd, less than two weeks now :D

Have you booked any excursions yet? We have not made any firm decisions yet, they all look quite expensive, so will have to choose carefully!

    Have a nice day :)

  9. Hi,

Just a quickie, does Majesty have an exercise track around the prom deck, or is it not possible to walk around in circles? Perhaps they have some gentle exercise groups? Any information appreciated.

Just in case I feel the need to try and walk off some of the excellent food that will just stick to my hips (and lots of other places too!) !:D

  10. I am trying to find out for certain if the standard outside cabins have kettles with tea and coffee provided in them free of charge?

I have asked so many people and in so many places and I keep getting different answers.

I asked Thomson themselves and they have told me twice now that there are tea and coffee making facilities in the cabins, yet no one who has been on Majesty recently can verify this.

So has anyone who has been on Majesty since April 2014 had a kettle in a standard cabin?

    Many thanks.

  11. Hi good Thomson folk,

    I have just read here in a different thread about loyalty schemes. . . . . . . . .. . .

What a joke, they must think we are mugs !

Here's a few things I would like that would not cost them a penny yet give me more of an incentive to stay with Thomson.

1)Free Extra legroom seats on the flight out.

2)An express check in desk when leaving the coach transfer and boarding the ship.

3)Reserved seating at the shows instead of leaving the best seats empty because nobody wants to pay £10 for them

I could think of a dozen more that would not cost them a penny and I could use better than 20% of the SPA which I have never visited in all of my cruises.

Does this mean that they are now blocking off some seating every night in the theatres or show lounges and charging extra to get a better seat, I sincerely hope not?

I would like to hear if any recent cruisers have experienced this?

    Have a nice day.

  12. Hi, great photos, thanks.

I have a quick question, although I expect the answer is obvious?

In the larger looking cabins, the photos show a kettle etc, can you tell me if Thomson are now providing kettles in the cabins, and if so, is it only in the expensive grades? Or were the kettles smuggled on by the cabin passengers!!!:D

    many thanks.
