i'm going on the celebrity cruise to the galapagos, i'm a photographer and i'm wondering how close they let us get to the animals, that way i will know what i'm going to need to bring for equipment.....
I have been on both Galapagos loops. All I ever found a need for was a 70-200 or 100-400 mm lens. Both these lens were also shot on full frame bodies.
Here is a link to my web site so you can get an idea on how close you can get to the birds and animals in the Gala[agos.

CABIN #: 9112
DECK #: 9
CLASS: Aqua
AREA:
BED NEAR: Bathroom
QUIET?: Very Quiet
BALCONY VIEW: Good
BALCONY SIZE: Standard
WIND A PROBLEM?:No
SOOT A PROBLEM?: No
PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The Aqua cabins on Deck 9 have been a question because of the over hang and their location under the pool area and buffet. We enjoy the over hang because we can sit outside out of the sun and our room stays cooler. This room is under the carpeted section of the buffet. As far as noise goes it was one of the quietest rooms we have ever had. We never heard any noise from the buffet above. We would most certainly book it again.

I normally do not like to get involved in forum controversy, but in this case I will share our experience. We are Celebrity Cruisers in our early 60's and also sailed on the Reflection in January. The complaints here deal with the volume of the music being played throughout the ship and the rudeness of the Cruise Director.
I have to concur that is exactly what we found. We understand that there are many different music genres. We do not expect to like every song being played on the ship and realize that passengers of many different backgrounds and ages will share the ship on a sailing. This however does not explain the volume of the music being played and the attitude of the Cruise Director. We found that we were unable to use any venue in the atrium area because the volume level of the music be played. The volume took a variety of music to the level of just noise. We had an opportunity to ask Alexander about the direction Celebrity was taking with the onboard entertainment.. His response was what everyone else said " Maybe you should sail on another ship"
Well Celebrity, You must really dislike us for spending all the money we have over the years. Besides taking away the entertainmentt we have enjoyed through the years you have decided to sic the dogs on us and tell us to go elsewhere.

We just did 3 B2B trips on the Ruby. We brought a 12 pack of Pepsi in our carry on luggage and a case of water that we tagged and checked with the porter. Both the soda and water water was allowed on without a problem.

We are considering a 11AM departure out of EZE the morning we depart the ship. We have no idea of the distance from the port to the airport. Any feelings or experience on making such a connection. Thanks

Is onboard credit still combinable on Princess or have they taken the route of RC. I am referring to Future Cruise Certificate onboard credit and Shareholder Credit. Thanks
