  1. Its all about what your looking for. If your willing to go without the "perks" and want a flight thats gonna be price friendly, you would want to consider them. I have flown them once and using them again in April..

  2. Remember some people will ALWAYS find things to complain about. I have been on 5 Carnival cruises and I love Carnival. Very laid back, great staff, and tons of fun.... Take the complaints and negative feed back with a grain of salt.. People will always find something to complain about. Relax.. You'll enjoy it!!:o

  3. can a few of you give me ideas of how many are in a group? Some say van, some say bus. I've read that it could be as many as 40 people in a group on a bus. True? I'd really rather go in a smaller group if possible.

The website says this tour is 5 1/2-6 hours. Is that accurate b/c from what i read, i believe that it is not and it is more.

Only other concern i had was we really didnt want to spend an hour or more at a beach in st lucia, we just wanted to see the highlights. How much time is actually spent on the beach? Thanks.

I did this tour 2 years ago. We only spent a hour or so on the beach, most of the tour is sightseeing.. I am leaving for this same cruise intinerary in 3 days... And doing this tour again.. Its was sooo worth it.. If you try it you wont be disappointed :)

  4. The lido lunch theme today was American food. Part of that buffet was cornbread, or at least Carnival’s interpretation of what they think cornbread is. I have lived in Tennessee, Texas, and Georgia. I’m 110% southern girl. I know good cornbread. I need my southern folks to back me up here.

    This is cornbread.

Ok, technically it is cornbread because it’s bread with corn on top. However, you can’t put that in front of someone from the south and not expect to get flamed. Paula Deen would have a fit if she tasted this. Even without the corn on top, the bread wasn’t that good. It tasted very “doughy”, like it wasn’t baked long enough.

I’d like to make a deal with the Carnival chefs. Feel free to fly into Atlanta one day. I’ll pick you up from the airport and drive you up 85N to Peachtree Street, where our final destination will be Gladys Knight’s Chicken & Waffles. We’ll order a basket of cornbread and dish on Dancing With The Stars and you can show me pictures of your kids. On the drive back to the airport, I’ll take you around the 285 loop to This Is It Soul Food and get you a couple dozen corn muffins to snack on for your plane ride back. You’ll be back in Florida in time for sailaway. This will give you a taste of good, southern cornbread.

I never thought I’d be writing a dissertation on cornbread, but this needed to be said. :)

OMG, Im a southern girl too, and that looks like a biscuit with a scoop of corn on top, lol...

  5. I also took this tour last week and It was great! Our drivers name was Baptist and he was hilarious. They gave you drinks all day during the tour (beer, soda, water, rum punch, and what they call "liquid ******". We also stopped at someones house for breakfast where there was all the local foods prepared (the fish cakes were the bomb)for lunch we had some of the warm local bread with cheese (THE BREAD WAS GOOD).. I would definately recommend this tour, the best one Ive ever been on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
