  1. We stayed there Feb 27 to March 2. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel had some hurricane damage. We did not notice anything--but, the revolving restaurant was still not working.

We went to the bar one evening and the drinks, apps were very good. We had lunch at the pool restaurant and that was very nice, too. Another night we went to Pelicans Landing [at the end of dock] and had drinks and dinner. It was so relaxing and a great view. The fish tacos were great!

The rooms are just OK. I understand the tower rooms are better. Parking was $30/day. We felt that was pricey. The thing that bothered me was the sound from outside the rooms. We were in the 2-story outdoor area that surrounds the pools. Cement walkways ran the length of each floor. People pulling luggage and especially the maids pulling carts went up and down these all day and it seemed most of the night. UGH! It sounded like someone bowling outside our door.

The marina had lots of yachts. They were very impressive. The three pools were very nice. The hot tub was shaped like a + sign and bigger than some pools.

We took a taxi to the port. However, we talked to a couple that took an uber.

It used to be a Hyatt. However, it is not associated with then anymore.

Thanx. We are in a upper floor in the tower. We are also taking Uber over to the pier. We are flying in so no parking issues. We will use Uber to get to the Restraunts we are going to.

    Thanx for the info

  2. Has anyone stayed at this hotel in Fort Lauderdale before sailing on their cruises? Thinking of staying here before our Harmony cruise and would love to know reviews on it!

We are staying there this Thursday til Sunday when we board Allure. I’ll let you know our opinion. I’ve been told it’s great by friends that’s why we booked it.

  3. You may not have realized it, but that's kind of like saying "Why are you using the pool on the ship when you could go to the local park district pool at home" or "why drink in a bar on the cruise when you can just go to a bar at home." Some people enjoy watching TV in their cabins--my husband and I like to watch the in room TV on cruises when we are winding down for the night. Different strokes for different folks! There is no need to criticize what other cruisers like to do on their vacations.

  5. They might. I did this once and they never replied to me. Went up to SL on day one and they had them done. They just forgot to email me back to let me know which caused a wasted trip up there during peak day 1 elevator time. Stairs were not an option from deck 5 carrying my toddler daughter. I’m sure they can get slammed with emails and easily get distracted by current and future cruisers.

    Thank u

  6. Yes, they should email you and that is something they would be happy to do. There is a post on here that has the emails of the ship concierge. I would email if I hadn't heard from them within a week of your cruise. I have only studied in two suites so far and have they both have been very nice on reaching out to me. I asked for a few more things before the cruise and they took care of it for me before I even stepped on the ship. Happy Sailing!!!!!

    Thank u very much

  7. I’m told since we are in a grand suite that the concierge will be emailing us a week prior to the cruise With information. My question is if I ask them to make reservations for the week at Coastal Kitchen so I don’t have to do it when I get onboard, will they do it?

We sail on Allure on April 8th so it’s coming soon.

    Thanx for the help

  8. Hmm, I am actually HAPPY with the new site.

I just logged in and did my one time deal. I added my C&A number, and after a couple of minutes, I was linked and my C&A points and status properly displayed. THIS IS HUGE, as previously the C&A system had a suffix box, and the reservation system did not, so the two could not be linked.

I had to re-add my upcoming cruises, but my past ones show up.

So, it seems to be working fine, for me, and they have fixed major issues from earlier.

It works fine for me too all 15 cruises are there plus my one for April 8th. I’ve not had a problem yet and I’m on it daily to look and play around. Keeping my fingers crossed that it stays this way for me

  9. We sail Independence a week from today. Literally everything we booked is higher yesterday / today than it's ever been.

We booked the refreshment package at $18 / person / night. At the time, the deluxe package was $50. Yesterday & today, the deluxe package is $53. All prices exclude gratuity.

Zoom 4 Device higher than when we booked.

The Cozumel shore excursion is 25% higher than when we booked.

Ultimate Drink Package is $45 yesterday and today either call or try to go online and purchase it.

  10. We got an upsell the old fashioned way... got a phone call from Royal last week offering to upsell our Junior Suite for a Grand Suite for what I thought was a ridiculously high upsale price. Said it was too high and just as a joke, countered with a ridiculously low one before getting ready to hang up. I was shocked when the agent countered with a price right in the middle of the two. So, hopping on the Anthem Saturday and going to enjoy our Grand Suite.

  11. Funny...I use Firefox on my PC and Safari on my iPad and have had NO problems with either one. True, the new interface is not the most user friendly, but it has not kept me from getting on or doing the things I wanted to do.

Agree Totally! I’ve not had one problem with the new site. I’ve used my iPhone and iPad without a problem All my info is there all my reservations were intact and I printed my set sail pass. We go on Allure April 8th. Not saying I love the look of the site but as far as it working I’ve had no problems. Sorry to hear about those who aren’t so lucky.
