  1. Do not even think of using anyone else if you want a great tour in Cuba. We have just returned from spending two days with Yosel. He was prompt, informative, accommodating and just a delight to work with. We were a group of 8 seniors. The first day was spent touring in a van with stops that were adjusted to our desires. He also is a photographer, so he recorded our trip on his camera with our media card which he gave back to us at the end of the trip. We now have a full record of our trip.I am usually the photographer and am missing from the group shots, not this time. We were taken to off the beaten track places that most tours would never find, lunch was at a converted home with a typical Cuban lunch, don’t miss it.

The second day was divided into two parts. In the morning we toured the city in two old convertibles and it was great. Then in the afternoon, we did a walking tour of old Havana. When Yosel realized we had missed one of the stops we wanted on the first day, he arranged for cars again so those that wanted to go back could visit the site.

We left Havana feeling that we had made a new friend.

  2. We have just returned from our cruise aboard Enchantment of the Seas. In Bar Harbour we used At Your Service Taxi (http://atyourservicetaxi.com/) and were very pleased. Very professional, clean van, adapted to our tour wishes. In Halifax we obtained the services of a private taxi driver referred to us by Halifax Taxi Tours since they did not have anyone available. We used the services of Al Deslaurier at deslaurieraophonse@hotmail.com, our driver was polite, well informed and the van was perfect. In St. Johns we had a slight problem and when I emailed the owner of the tour company of our concerns she promptly replied to my email and made the necessary adjustments and apologies. Based on her response I would have no problem giving her company, Heather MacKenzie <hmackenzie@freedomtours.com>, another chance. Bar Harbor and Halifax were highlights for us, Portland also was interesting, especially with a trip to the Portland Headlight Lighthouse. St.Johns was a disappointment, even with seeing Fundy Bay
