  1. I guess you could take turns though. One of you could give up your wristband for a few hours to half of the other couple, then trade back later. You wouldn't all be together at once but you can mix and match partners.... Woah, I just realized that might not sound wholesome. Let's say mix and match pool buddies.

  2. MDR should be open every day. You should be able to order any drink from the waiter as well. Room service should be similar, although I have never tried it for specialty coffee. I know you can order bar drinks etc that way, so cappuccino should be similar. Worst case, you go on a ten minute walk to get it.

  3. ..even faster idea...check in for your flight online the night before and only bring carry-on luggage. We have gotten our 7 night luggage down to one carry-on and a personal item for each of us. Carry-on only saves so much time coming and going. We also do the self-debarkation with the carry-on. I highly recommend.

  4. I am a little concerned that they designed and built this area for a specific number of rooms. Then, when they realized how popular the area was, they added a bunch of rooms (about 24) that were previously categorized as non-Havana rooms. So now we will have far more people occupying an area designed for a smaller group. From looking at the updated deck plans, it looks like there are about 61 Havana-Class rooms now. Doing some quick estimating from the virtual pics showing the deck, it looks like where are only about 24 deck chairs and maybe 30 to 40 more other types of seating back there. So we will end up with between 120 and 150 guests trying to cram into about 60 seats in the lanai area.

Normally, I wouldn't think too much of a change, but this entire area, including the pool was designed for the original guest capacity of about 80 people. Additionally, the only reason to book this area is to have access to an allegedly private area. I am concerned that they will now be shoehorning 120 people into a tight space designed for 80 so that Carnival can up-charge a couple dozen more rooms. Based on the volume of people and the pool size, we are looking at standing room only if you want to get wet. Does anyone else have the same concern?

  5. Just save all that money and enjoy the beach right off the pier. They also have the big pool and flow rider. Pool is free, flow rider is either an excursion or purchased on location.

The $50 all you can drink plus lunch at Margaritaville is my idea of a great excursion.

  6. We just brought some goggles and swam around at the beach near the pier. We saw squid, lots of colorful fish, a large cannon, and a huge anchor (both of which were placed here intentionally, but still cool)..and it was free

  7. If they aren't there, then its probably sold out. I just searched without selecting a specific cruise and they are there. The Grand Turk cabanas are a bit pricy for what you get,for me at least. They don't come with snacks or floats or anything. $129.99

You could also try to call Carnival direct and see if they can help you out. They might have a wait list or something if someone drops out.

  8. Looks like you are in good shape. You are right below the pool area, but are a little forward of it, so you hopefully won't catch much noise. A Glory room review on this website said that room was nice. Glory is a sister of Conquest, so the layout should be the same.

Here is a deck plans website: http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/dragdeck.php?ship=Carnival-Conquest&zoom=1

    Congratulations and happy honeymoon!

  9. Hmm, the new FAQ on Carnival's website says they do have chips...

"The BlueIguana Cantina is a complimentary poolside dining destination that offers freshly made burritos (breakfast burritos in the morning) and tacos on homemade tortillas along with a variety of salsas and toppings. Hungry guests can also watch the tortilla maker create fresh wheat and jalapeño tortillas, then enjoy three types of tacos with a variety of toppings, and three kinds of burritos with fantastic fillings, plus chips and salsa."

Let us know if anyone can actually prove this one way or another...
