  1. We had the same kind of issue. But our Flight arrived at 8 am the day before our cruise, and the shuttle services said they would not pick up until noon.

So we ended up booking Larrys limo.

  2. Has anyone been in contact with Trikes St. Marteen recently? I sent a request to book for March 2018 a few days ago and haven't heard back. Just wondering if they are back up and running after the storms. Ty.

Check out their FB Page, It says on 9/12 "operations on the island have been suspended until further notice.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we´ll keep you posted through our networks as we move forward and resume regular operations."

There has not been an update so I would assume they have not resumed the tours.

  3. Be aware that the Donkey Sanctuary does not open until 10:00. If you’re off the ship early, I suggest completing the southern loop in counter-clockwise fashion. You’ll get to see the Cargill salt production operations including the flats, the slave huts and lighthouse, the flamingos, and also stop by Sorobon Beach/Lac Bay and see the windsurfers before heading toward the Donkey Sanctuary.

Thanks for the tip. We too reserved the golf carts for our March Cruise. I assume you did the self guided tour? We have not been to Bonaire yet. Did you get approached at all by the locals while on your gold cart excursion, like you do when you visit Jamica? Just wondering on what to expect as we will be traveling with our 12 year old son.

Your review has been wonderful! Thanks for taking the time to do this. :-)

  4. We have Chops booked for day 1 on our Navigator cruise but it was not offered at least as of yet for our Oasis Cruise.

Was hoping to book for Oasis as we will be with extended family. All of the cruise planners I have see have it listed as open on day 1 on Oasis so it is a bit confusing as to what to expect.

Has anyone just showed up at Chops on day 1 for lunch without a reservation and gotten seated? Just wondering.

  5. Last year on the Oasis, I noticed the drinks being weak. I don't drink very often, maybe once a year at that. We sprung for the Deluxe for each of use and for the first 3 days I tried all sorts of drinks. I figured why not I am not driving anywhere. Never once did I even get a buzz. The only time I did feel something is when we went to the champagne bar. After 2 glasses of that boy did I feel it. And that was after drinking all day. My husband said the same thing. Mixed drinks never felt any different. Only until he was drinking beer did he feel any effects.

I think they are doing something. So I would agree based on my experience.

  6. Which would you choose and why?

We are a party of 3 so at least 3 large bags and then one carry on each.

The Ship gets into POM on 4/8 which is the Sunday after the long Easter break so I am expecting lots of people.

Right now renting a car is about $12 cheaper than the shuttle, but I don't know how much hassle it is to to a rental from POM. I know they shuttle you back to MIA airport. I just don't know which way is best? Having never done either.

Full shuttles but can leave when I get off the boat or rent a car and have to get shuttled. Our Flight leaves FLL at 1:30pm

If you have experience with either I would like to know your suggestions. Thanks!

  7. I just did a google search on "JetBlue Standby" and their policy came up. There is a lot of info there. But I am trying to copy what I think is relevant to you.

    Standby travel

    Pre-Flight

Standby travel is based on seat availability and is not guaranteed.

    • In order to travel standby, you must have already purchased a seat on JetBlue.
    • There is no additional charge for this option.
    • You may list standby at the airport prior to your original flight. Standby travel cannot be listed over the phone.
    • You must travel between the same city pairs (i.e. you can be confirmed on a nonstop and travel standby on a connecting flight or vice versa as long as the origin and destination cities remain the same).
    • If you have an Even More® Space seat and choose to travel standby, you will forfeit the seat fee and not be eligible for a refund.
    • Mint® customers may travel standby one flight prior to their confirmed scheduled departure, but the Mint experience will not be guaranteed and will be forfeited if unavailable on the new flight.

    Standby Options:

    • You may list for standby one flight prior to your confirmed scheduled departure.
    • Customers in cities with multiple flights can travel standby ONLY on the same day.
    • If traveling out of a city with only one daily flight, the Airport can list you standby on the last flight one day prior.
      • Note that the flight prior to your confirmed flight may be a nonstop or a connecting flight.
      • If the flight option does not meet your needs (i.e. you are confirmed on a nonstop and the flight prior is a connecting flight, which you rather not travel on or the customer is an Unaccompanied Minor that cannot fly on a connecting flight), JetBlue does offer a same-day change option - fees may apply. This option would confirm you on the flight of choice and can be requested at the airport or by calling 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583). There would need to be availability on the flight selected but there would be no increase in fare.
      • Please note that to LIST standby only one person per PNR is needed at the airport. However, to CHECK IN each individual must be present.

    Post-Flight (No Show)

Standby travel is based on seat availability and is not guaranteed and, depending on your fare, is subject to an additional fee.

    • In order to travel standby, you must have already purchased a seat on JetBlue.
    • You must list standby at the airport on the same day of travel, pending flight availability. Please allow for sufficient time to list standby and clear security. This may vary Airport to Airport.

    Standby Options (No Show):

    • You may list standby on the next available flight after your original scheduled departure.
    • Customers in cities with multiple flights can travel standby ONLY on the same day.
    • If traveling out of a city with only one daily flight, the airport can list you for the next day.
      • Note that the next flight to your confirmed flight may be a nonstop or a connecting flight.
      • If the flight option doesn’t meet your needs (i.e. you are confirmed on a nonstop and the flight immediately after is a connecting flight, which you rather not travel on or the customer is an Unaccompanied Minor that cannot fly on a connecting flight), JetBlue does offer a same day-change option - fees may apply.

  8. I bought my first set when we went to Hawaii this year. My husband thought I was wacky and just did an impulse purchase. My bags were so organized and easy to unpack. This was also the first time I have ever rolled my clothes and I could not believe how much I could fit into the bags. I don't think Ill travel any other way. It was easy to grab what I needed right away when we got to the hotel. I was very happy with them.

  9. I also live in Rochester an almost always travel to Buffalo to fly to Orlando. I do it about 6 times a year. I also used to commute from Rochester to Buffalo daily to work. I would not worry about the weather. I think in the 8 Years I was commuting there was only 3 times that I should have stayed put and not went to work or went home.

The price difference between Rochester and Buffalo is usually significant and Southwest has at least 2 but most of the time 3 direct flights a day where Rochester only has one. If you average in parking it is still a lot cheaper to fly out of Buffalo.

There are a lot of park and fly hotels around the airport as well if you want to drive in the day before. I would definitely say look into Buffalo and Southwest. That way if there is a price change you can get the lower fair a lot easier than with other airlines.

  10. We had our Cruise go into "Inventory review" It was the Easter Navigator March 30 2018 sailing. The 2 cruises before it were also flagged and the one after. It was like that for a month or so. People would call and the agents said the same thing "I can see cabins available" Then one day it showed back up. We found out they were repricing the itinerary. But who really knows.

  11. Yes they are tight fit but manageable. If you found a way to "coexist" with the accommodations on Norwegian then you should be OK on Oasis.

I found the Oasis had more room than any of the Disney ships I have been on. So that may be good ;-)

The bowls are elongated but not as much as one on land. They are more of the RV type so in all they are smaller.

All of the public restrooms have handicap accommodations so that may be an option. But the actual bowl is the same as all the others just higher and there is more elbow room.
