  1. Family of four considering a sailing on the Panorama in March.  We are getting two inside staterooms.  Kids are ages 11/15 and will be sharing a room.  We will book room with one adult in each room but will switch once onboard.  There isn't much selection on the lower decks.  Deck 7, 8 and 9 are our choices.  Nothing is available midship so I have to decide bridge or aft.  Would prefer connecting rooms but can only find one at the front of the ship on deck 8.  Is that better or do you think we'll be fine with rooms next to each other at the aft of the ship on Deck 7.   Just worried about being woken up by waves, etc if we stay at the front of the ship.  I have never done that before.

  2. Our family of four ages, 40, 41, 4 & 8 booked a cruise on the Carnival Inspiration during the week of July 4th. It's our second cruise. The first cruise was a HAL Alaskan cruise when our oldest was 2. (I know this won't even come close to that experience. hah!) We're from Phoenix and tired of the ridiculous heat every July 4th. On the 4th the ship will be at sea, not sure what to expect that day? I am looking for feedback on our itinerary and welcome any suggestions for 1) avoiding long lines 2) best things to do on the ship (with and without the kids ;)) and 3) and advise you have for excursions.

Our embarkation time is 12:30 - 1:00pm. We have open seating for dinner. We have adjoining cabins with the kids (yes!) We plan on eating in the main dining room every night, can you tell us when is the best time to go? Are the lines really bad if we show up at 6?

For shore excursions, I have not booked anything. I have a general idea of what we want to do.

For Catalina we were thinking of renting a golf cart and exploring the island. Possibly doing the under water sub excursion. Is there a short hike we could do? i.e 1 - 2 miles. Anything else you would recommend?

For Ensenada we want to do the canopy tour at Las Canadas. My 4 year old is almost 5 and she is skinny and tall. I know she can't do the bridges but I'm hoping she can do the zip line, my 8 year old (almost 9) is dying to do this. Afterwards we were thinking of doing the horseback riding at Las Canadas. Has anyone done that? Any recommendations for getting to Las Canadas? Should we just try to find a taxi for the day? Or is it best to Uber? Can you Uber in Ensenada? Also, I'm not sure how long that will take? If we eat tacos at a local restaurant will we get sick? How do I pick a good place to eat tacos?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. DH and I have done one cruise to Alaska on HAL when my oldest was 2. It was great but most of what I loved about the cruise was the ports and of course the smorgasbord of food. We are probably going to choose a 4 day July 17 cruise to Mexico on Carnival and take our kids that are now 4 and 8. It looks family friendly and we are going to try to get adjoining cabins if I can find on on a date that works for us. I have read mixed reviews of Carnival's 4 day cruises so I'm a bit concerned about whether it will be family friendly enough for us? Also, if you had to pick, is there any difference between the Imagination or the Inspiration? This will be first memorable cruise for both kids so I hope it works out.
