  1. We just got off the Gem this morning and started out in cabin 10167. The location is excellent and very quiet. The 3 days we were in that cabin, we never heard or saw our neighbors.. however, starting at 5:45 am, we were woken up with horrible banging on the walls and lots of noise in that “empty” space next to that cabin. We found out on day 3 that it is the storage room for the art auction. Workers came in several times a day to change out the art paintings. We asked our cabin steward (Vincent, who was fabulous, btw) about the noise and he told us to go the service desk to see if the workers could try and be a little quiet, at least in the morning. We know they have a job to do, but they should never put a cabin in that space. It’s like it’s put in the middle of a warehouse. Anyway, we went back to our cabin after we went down and spoke with someone. We got a call about 20 min later from the service desk saying they had another cabin available on the same floor and they would show us and let us move there if wanted to. They also said they would help move us.  We took the new cabin and bugged out that night. (We got cabin 10069) It was still a little noisy at times, but way better than cabin 10167. The next day, we found a bottle of wine and a tray of chocolates in our room from the service desk for our troubles with the other cabin! It was a great cabin and location, except for the noise next to it. I’m sorry to report how noisy this room is. If you have any other questions, I’ll be happy to answer them! Have a great cruise!

  2. Yes! We booked a balcony cabin for our anniversary on the Glory and carnival called and offered us a suite for around $500 more. It was a lot of money, but we took it and so glad we did!! It was just the 2 of us on a 7 day cruise, but the extra space and having the tub was great! We just got a call again for our upcoming Vista cruise to go from a ocean view to a balcony, and we took it! I asked if they were offering any suites in the upgrade, and sadly, they were not.

  3. Nice pick! Next to balconies, these are our favorite cabins. We'll be in 7202 on our Vista cruise.

Hi! We'll be on the Vista in Nov in this cabin! I can't wait! Can you take pictures of this cabin and post them? When we booked, (almost 600 days ago!) it was a reg cabin. Several months ago, we were told it was changed into a handicap acceptable cabin. Today, talking to my pvp, she said it's not a HC room any longer. (She didn't get any notification of the change) Now I'm dying to know what the room looks like, lol. Hope you have a great cruise! :)

  4. I've used one for the past 2 cruises and plan on bringing one for our next cruise. I hate clutter on the counters and I can never find things all shoved into drawers. This works great for us. I put all of my shoes (I don't bring that many) electronic cords, aloe, sunscreen etc. It folds flat and is easy to pack. I do cut a couple rows off the bottom, as it's usually to long and I don't need that many pockets!:):o

  5. We had a balcony on deck 8, forward, and never had an issue with privacy. Sitting on the balcony, I never noticed deck 5 below us. If standing at the rail, you could see people, but we were high enough up that we could never hear anyone. We chose this deck for that reason.

  6. I never go without my camera. It's just a little point and shoot one, so the camera bag is just a tiny cross body bag big enough for the camera and one small pocket (meant to hold the extra battery) that I use for my S&S card. It works perfect on the ship. On land, we had one of those flip top waterproof cases to keep with us when snorkeling.. it wasn't waterproof. It was meant to be, but everything inside got wet. I just ordered a waterproof pouch from amazon (can't remember the name) but it got high ratings. I'm looking forward to trying it out on our Breeze cruse!

  7. On our Paradise cruise a few weeks ago, their were 2 boys, about 9 & 11 (guessing) sitting in the seats in front of there parents during the adult comedy show. I was very upset as the comedian was very raunchy and these boys were aloud to sit through it. Someone approached them, and the boys pointed to two adults, half asleep in the booth, but nothing was ever done and they were aloud to stay. So, to answer your question, I would think your son would be allowed to stay.
