Of course he can, we do this all the time when cruising with our kids and grandkids.  Our stewards have always been happy to make up the couch into a bed, even in a cabin for 2.  Enjoy your cruise with the family!

I’m glad you have had good luck with this.

The one time we tried to do it, we were in a grand suite and our steward refused to make up the sofa into a bed. We made it work anyway.

Maybe I didn’t ask nicely enough or should have “taken care” of him then instead of planning to do so at the end of the cruise.

I should have talked more about them.  Are they worth it?  Good question.  For us the answer is yes.  We had the first one as you came around the bar,  The check in was easy, and the staff, both the guy assigned to us and the server wre nothing short of outstanding.  Coming over several times asking if we needed anything , getting me an umbrella, really good.  While people without the wrist bands walked thru, we never had an issue with “our” stuff.

THANK YOU. I think we will reserve one.

  3. Jimbo5544, thank you for this very informative and interesting review.

Questions: Do you think the Pool Cabanas on Amber Cove are worth the increased $500 cost?

Did you have any problems with non Cabana people using your pool loungers?

Do you know if small kids are counted as part of the 8 allotted to the cabana? The two in our group are too young to use the zip lines which are part of the Cabana perks.

I've had lobster rolls and asked for butter not mayo, just lobster with butter on them. Twice and for me was worth it.

Someone on cc told me ask for butter, not the ready made up stuff mixed with that mayo type stuff. I never tried the fried stuff. $18 on dream I just got off.

The fried mixed fish platter was $20.

Thanks for the tip. I had the lobster roll with mayonnaise and only remember bread and mayonnaise with little lobster.

I will try it again with butter rather than mayonnaise.

According to this, this replaces the Green Eggs and Ham.

On our Carnival Pride sailing in August Green Eggs and Ham is sold out and Thing 1 & 2 Birthday Breakfast  is not.  We already booked Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast.  I wonder what will happen to that reservation.

Do you think Carnival will convert Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast reservations to Thing 1&2 Breakfasts? We also already have Green Eggs and Ham reservations.
Thank you for the information on the Thing 1&2 Breakfast.
