We will be on Encore in February and have been trying to discover the exact ports but like you to no avail. I was told by someone who cruised this year 2022 that it was the City ports in both HCMC and Da Nang. Fingers crossed it remains the same. Also which Dock in Hong Kong?

I thought I might put a question on again in January when the itineraries have started and hopefully someone responds.

We  disembark in Hong Kong next February and our flight home isn't until 11.30 pm. We do not want to spend the day at the airport and our thoughts are that we should be somewhere around the Harbour. Has anyone any recommendations for a day use hotel and area?  Any help would be appreciated as we have not visited Hong Kong before and because of time restraints need to return home right after the cruise.

Thanks EbonyJ. We are now looking at possibilities. We are travelling with friends who just want to stay in Da Nang, Do you recall whether Seabourn provide a shuttle from the port or is it walkable? Thanks for your input.

We will be aboard Encore in February and wondered if anyone can comment on a couple of the ports please.

Laem Chebang: We have visited Bangkok on land tours a couple of times and thought it may be possible to get to Pattaya which I believe is 30/40 minutes away. Does Seabourn run a shuttle to port entrance (or Pattaya). Is it easy enough to get a taxi. We only want 4 hours or so, mainly to get off the ship as it seems the port is very commercial.

Hoi An: We would like a half day tour to Hoi An but most of the tours seem to be full day . It looks like we can walk off the ship into Da Nang.

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Thinking hopefully,  I am looking at a couple of Med. cruises Sept/Oct 2021. Is there anywhere on Azamara site which tells me where the AzAmazing evening will be held,

I was hoping for Ephesus but both itineraries show a couple of late nights. We have travelled before on Azamara and I know I found something somewhere which gave me the info, but no matter how I try now I can't find anything.

Also anyone been there in October? I wondered if this might be a bit late in the year.

We are flying out to Barbados shortly with Virgin to join Odyssey. Our flights became available 11 months prior to the departure date. Just keep checking or maybe call/email Virgin.

I have a friend who says they had to take a taxi as the route was difficult to find. We like to walk, at least one way for the exercise .

Were you able to find the way without too much difficulty.

Is it possible to walk from Charlestown to the beach. If so, how far?

We are on Odyssey in March and very much looking forward to the cruise.

Will be interested to hear your take on Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe, particularly sightseeing independently?

When we visited Guadeloupe a few years ago we anchored off Deshaies. We were able to walk to the Gardens and also get a local bus to the beach.

Can’t seem to find much info on Basse-Terre area.

The Agent you booked through has an Emergency Helpline that I understand is manned 24hrs. Get them to involve the ‘top brass’ at both Seabourn and B.A. 

Failing that the UK press would be interested!

We are visiting in March and would like to go to a beach for a couple of hours.

We were last at Sopers Hole a good fifteen years ago and because of lack of taxis never made a beach. 

Can anyone one advise on the current situation there as I’m sure there will have been big changes.?
