  1. Last year my husband and I cruised on Brilliance from Boston to Tampa. After the flight and first day on the ship my husban became totally dehydrated. He was confused and could not walk. He is 84 years old. The medical staff was excellent. They did every test under the sun and infused him with two Iv's. They checked on him every two days, he was soon back to normal.

We can't say enough about how good he was taken care of.

The insurance reimbursed us for every penny.

  2. South NJ (Monmouth county)

So you are correct. But Taylor Ham may be the brand name. However, true NJ-ins call it pork roll[emoji12]

We live in Florida, originally from Union County, NJ.

We recently found Pork roll in our Publix Supermarket here, my husband loves it.

    Very happy!!

  3. Maybe I'm just a relaxed, laid back person that is happy to be on the right side of the grass and that's why i don't get the constant complaining some of my fellow cruisers do. I just dont get it! One couple complaining about the room being under a pool and hearing noises......you booked your room under a pool! One person said the people next door were playing cards at 2 a.m. and it was loud.......You're on a cruise and some people like have a good time! The food wasn't great....you're basically on a floating soup kitchen feeding 5000 people. It's to crowded in the windjammer. .....it's 8 billion other places on the ship to eat! Drinks are to expensive. ....stay home! Internet sucks.....you're in the middle of the ocean and should be enjoying the trip anyway instead of updating your Facebook. The people next to us in the Mdr were laughing loud.....people do realize that this the only time of year some of these people get together, let them enjoy themselves!!!!!!

People need to enjoy things a little more, life is short no need to keep a stick up your butt. Now legitimate issues yes complain, but some of you go waaaayyyyy to far!

I totally agree with you, no problem, be happy, enjoy life and especially cruising!!!!

  4. ""So yes, it IS shady because those tips are part of people's wage whom you will never even come into contact with on the ship. By removing them you take away part of their wage. ""

Royal Caribbean own the Cruise Line, we pay them for our cruise, why should we have to pay

    their employees?

What other company expects customers to pay for their employees?

We tip generously for service received from stewards, bartenders and anyone else that has been forthcoming on our cruise.

Tipping is a customers choice, that's why it's called a tip.

The cruise lines should not expect paying customers to also pay their employees.l

  5. Hi, I am German. When I am visiting my brother, I get a " Bademantel", translated Bathingcoat. When you go to the swimming pool, you take your bathingcoat instead of towels.

You wear it when you come out of the water.

But: I never wear my robe outside of my cabin on a ship.

Many people that do are Europeans.

  6. I love Royal Caribbean.

My husband and I were on a cruise from Boston to Tampa 13 Nights on Brilliance o.S.

On the first night my husband(83) became disoriented and was unable to get into bed.

I called for help and Nurse and Doctor arrived .

They took a blood test and returned Husband to bed.

Two hours later Husband was very confused and did not remember where he was.

Called medical staff again and he was transported to medical facility.

They took EKG, xrays, Blood test and numerous other test.

Drs. found complete dehydration and he was infused with two bags of fluid.

After a day and a half we returned to our cabin.

Next morning my Husband was in recovery and we finished the entire cruise.

My husband has never had such a complete check-up as in the RC medical facility.

The Drs. and Nurses where first rate, efficient kind and competent.

This was our 30 tiest cruise.

I can't thank the medical staff enough for their great service, thank's to them we are not afraid to keep cruising.

  7. We had an Aft booked on a Jewel Transatlantic, we received an upgrade to a JR. Suite.

It was not good. The cabin was on the side and all the way across the Atlantic it was in the shade. We never used it, it was too cold. The Aft Balconies have sun most of the time and no wind. I never give up my Aft Cabin again.

  8. We are staying at the BW Adams Inn in Quincey and need tranportation to Black Eagle Pier.

Last year the Hotel had a free Shuttle, this year the want $80.00 more for the room to take it. That's a bit much. We are two couples. Can anyone suggest what we should do?

    How much would taxis be?

  9. Hey everyone, just a quick warning that there currently are thieves on board of the Quantum of the Thieves (cruising from Barcelona to Dubai).

We had some of the colorful magnet signs we put on our stateroom doors stolen today. It is of course not much material value that was lost, but it sure does ruin the lightheartedness and fun of traveling on board. :(

It has never happened before on any other cruise, but it's symptomatic about how things are on board of this ship. Seriously, who steals door magnets? Pathetic.

There were warnings in the cruise planner about pickpockets in Naples, instead there should be warnings about the thieves that are on board.

Anyways, if you are currently on board, watch your belongings and don't leave anything unattended.

That is nothing new, we recently cruised on the Serenade. Someone had some very nice magnets made about our cruise and ports, many of them diappeared from the owners doors.
