Good day! we are booking a 6 night NCL Gem cruise that leaves out of New York and the first stop is Halifax, then St. John (New Brunswick) and then Portland, Maine. We will have a balcony room. Most cruises that I have taken have crossed bodies of water, so it doesn't matter what side of the ship you are on, you see nothing but water mostly! But since this cruise will be traveling along the outer edge of land, will you be able to see land from the ship at any point? Just curious if there is a "better" side of the ship to get a room on.

I hope this doesn't seem like a silly question! :)
