I took my first cruise last month and was able to get one of the large Carnival Legend models. I hope to get them for each of the ships I am able to cruise on.

Does Victor usually tell you who your guide is when the booking is confirmed? I just got a confirmation for 2 of us but there's no mention of who our guide will be.

I specifically requested either Tex or Ali and he replied that we would be booked with Ali. Not sure if he usually mentions the guide or not.

Just got confirmation that we are booked with Ali in June! Tex was my first pick but apparently he was already booked.

One question, since Ali has space for 6 and there are 3 of us, what are the chances we get stuck with other passengers? This wouldn't make me happy.

We are most likely going to do the Altun Ha tour through Carnival. This is our first cruise and am concerned about the distance to the ruins.

One question - the Carnival tour gets back by 1:00 but the ship doesn't sail until 5:00 (I assume we will need to be on board by 4:00). What is there to do in the port area for a few hours instead of going back to the ship?

I hadn't really thought about jellyfish in my planning until now. I will have to look at some remedies. I am allergic to wasp stings but never been stung by a jelly.

My son, however, got stung by 7 or 8 Portugese man o wars in Panama City Beach FL when he was 6 or 7 and he suffered no lasting side effects. Did itch for several hours though.

Do you have to push them together or do you request it done? When do you request it?
