Yes, inquiring minds would like to know ship & cabin number!

What ship is this picture? It looks like you are above the life boats!

I was just doing a search on 4k cabins..... when I came across this thread, and saw this picture of myself. I'm not sure why it was posted here - I definitely did not post it. Really weird. But to answer the other questions regarding it: This is not a 4k cabin. It's a balcony room on Carnival Legend - room number 5172. HTH.

Lunch was delicious, and we did have great table mates! You started off with 3 bottles of wine, and as you finished them, they would bring you another. With the wine, they served homemade pasta, homemade salami and prosciutto, cheese, salad and biscotti. The biscotti was really good! Oh, and are you wondering where the actual lunch pictures are? Well, I am one of those people that left feeling a little happier than when she arrived. I was in Tuscany, I had to drink the wine! I didn't even think of taking a picture. We did really enjoy it!

This lunch place and Torre Guelfa Hotel are my favorites so far! They look so neat!!! Super fun review, Joanna :)

  3. We have had a terrible time with our current booking... but now that I just read through all 31 pages of this thread, I see we are definitely not the only ones!!

We are cruising on the Breeze April 21st. This is my 11th cruise; I've never had any problems with bookings until this one.

When we booked: I clicked on "upper/lower (porthole)" when selecting our room. After we booked, I went back and just started researching online... apparently neither rooms 2203 or 2207 actually HAVE portholes! Though Carnival's site said they did. I called, and the man told me they did not. I asked to be moved. He said, I'll put you in these 2 rooms next to each other, and they do have portholes. Great! So we hang up, I log onto my account... and he put our 2 rooms on 2 different decks!! And one room STILL didn't have portholes! So I called back (I'm sorry, I know this post is long) and spoke to a woman. She was working with us for almost an hour trying to find us two rooms next to each other that were what we booked: upper/lower and porthole. Apparently that doesn't even exist??? She told us we could have a true "upper/lower" or a porthole room with one bed and a sofa.

I'm mainly irritated that Carnival's site is so misleading!! But like I said, apparently we are not the first people to come across this!! I'm just thankful that I figured this out before we got to our room!

We are now in rooms 2211 and 2217. Does anyone have pictures of these rooms? I know the ship is relatively new, so it's difficult to find many pictures. Any insight would be appreciated though. =) I would just like to make sure the rooms DO have portholes.

Thanks, everyone :D And thanks for starting this thread; It's great!!

  5. APDMOM - will you be taking pictures on Saturday May 12th? You took pictures for us last May on this same cruise! It was so neat to see us at sailaway :)

Forgive me if someone has already asked about this date; I'm not sure if they have or not, I have just now started getting excited for our cruise and it made me think of you and your great pictures!

    Hope you're doing well :)

  6. Yes, we have decorated our door in the past.

Yes, we will decorate our door in the future.

Personally, I really don't care what anyone else has to think about it on the ship.

We are there to have a good time, period.

Anyone that has time to complain about our cabin door on a cruise probably needs to find something a little more entertaining to do on the ship.

We walk the halls looking for others that have decorated and although few do there are always a few scattered around the ship.

I like the way you think!! ;)

  7. I LOVE decorating my door!! We always do this. It's super easy to spot your room from far away. Of course you can go by the numbers on the door (as others have stated), but it's more fun to me to see your room from far away and know where it is. Plus it's just fun to do. I personally don't think it is tacky at all. I'll post some pictures of our past cruises just in case you'd like to see... I think it's fun to see all different things that people do. :) Hope you have fun on your cruise!!!!
