Thank you so much for all of the pictures. They are amazing. Do you recall specifically where you were in Skagway when you saw the moose?

I was comparing the compass from the Seattle/Alaska sailing at the end of May to the one that is currently being posted for this week. I noticed that some of the entertainment has changed between the 2 sailings. Does anyone know of how often they change performers/shows? Not a big deal, I just thought there would be more consistency between sailings, especially two so close together.
Thanks!

Thank you so much for the balcony photos. That's awesome news about the size. We're traveling with another couple and had hoped there would be enough room for 4.

Fellow yinzer here. I would love it if you could post a few pictures of your cabin and balcony when you have a chance. We're in 9270 in a few weeks and I believe the rooms are similar. We're specifically wondering if you can fit more than 2 chairs on the balcony.
I hope you have an awesome week! Sounds like you have a great crew with you. Enjoy!

Sorry, another quick question. Do you know if you are able to ask for salad dressing on the side? I could imagine given the volume of people they are serving, they might have it already dressed before they do the plating.
Thanks!

Awesome! Thanks!

Thank you for the review. Glad to hear about the weather.
Do you know if the Café Promenade was open on Friday afternoon or just the Windjammer? Thanks!

Thank you so much for taking the time during your trip to post all of this great information. We'll be heading out in a few weeks, so this was incredibly helpful to see the menus and the compasses. I love knowing my food and entertainment options in advance. I really appreciate what a fantastic resource this site can be and it's due in no small part to the generosity of members like you.
Thanks again!!

Do you recall what the 2nd formal night was on this sailing? Thanks!

I saw in an old post from 2016 that it was on the 5th night, but I don't know if that would have changed since then.

Thanks for the information.

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but my understanding of the Tracy Arms Fjord is that you're just sailing through/around the area. This isn't really a "port" right? That's why I wasn't sure if that would be considered a "sea day" or not.

We'll be on Explorer of the Seas out of Seattle next month. We would like to do Izumi for lunch, but that is only available on sea days. Does anyone know if the day we leave Tracy Arm Fjord at noon is considered a sea day?
Thank you!

What is the second formal night? Thanks!

Good point about the car return. The reservation says we can return the car at 10 PM, but we leave at 9, so we'll definitely be back before then. Are there ships that leave port earlier in the day? At this point I'm leaning toward heading to the beach first and hitting the glacier on the way back. Maybe some of the crowds from the morning ships will have departed by late afternoon.

We're arriving in Juneau at noon and have a rental car. We would like to do Eagle Beach and Mendenhall Glacier. I've read the glacier can get pretty crowded, so I'm wondering if there is any advantage to the order we see these two places, i.e. should we do the beach first or the glacier? We're there in late June if that makes a difference.
Thanks for any thoughts you have!

For me, it's the additional room, storage space and expedited check-in. We also took advantage of the cabana rental. I didn't find the price of the grand suite to be worth it, since I knew I wouldn't eat/drink enough in the lounge to justify the increased cost.

They are only a few cabins away so I had thought about them just bringing their chairs, but the vanity chair is a great idea.
-
Good to know it's not a definite no. Thanks again!

I don't really care about the lounger, but we're traveling with another couple and I thought it would be nice if we could hang out on the balcony together.
-
Nope, not aft, mid ship. Do you think 2 more chairs would fit (if we moved the table into the room)?
-
Thanks for the video. I hadn't seen that one before. Seems like the balcony is pretty big and might be large enough for 4 chairs. We're on an Alaska sailing, so I'm imaging a fair amount of balcony time.

Thanks for the link.

Glad to hear it hasn't been rough enough to hold you back. I was very concerned on my first cruise, western Caribbean on Oasis, and they had the bags in the stairwells pretty much every day. It was so bad one day we couldn't dock and at other times rocked so much you couldn't safely walk the outside track. Thankfully I was well medicated and didn't have any issues. I plan to be similarly medicated for our Alaska voyage, but am hoping only the days in the gulf are problematic.
