  2. Thanks everyone for the replies. I really do appreciate each one. The internet prices have obviously gone up from our February cruise. 😵 The problem that we were not getting the 50% off for the internet for elites is because somehow on the app it does not show us as being elite any longer. We need to fix that and then should be good to go. We just need to figure out who to contact to make this change.  Thanks again!!

    Check and make sure the app still shows you as elite. This happened to me and that was the problem. Look at the little sea witch logo next to your profile picture. It should be black; if it’s not then then during some upgrade or something it switched your status and you’ll have to get it fixed. 

    You are absolutely correct. For some reason the sea witch logo is no longer black indicating that we are not elite. Problem solved. Thank you so much!!

  4. Hello everyone. The title to my post asks my question. Hubby and I sailed a couple months ago and as elite passengers we got a discount on internet. We purchased the internet pkg. on the app. and it automatically gave us the 50% off for being elite. The regular price for internet for the 14 days was $140.00 and with the discount we only paid $70.00 for one device. We have just booked another cruise and attempted to purchase the internet through the app again and the price shows NO discount for being elite and a price of $210.00 for one device. That means that even if there is a 50% discount, the price from our just completed cruise to this cruise has gone up from $140.00 regular price to $210.00. Does anyone know if Princess has done away with the discount for elites? Thanks so much..

  5. whitecap, everything you have said makes perfect sense. Talking to bUU is like talking to a brick wall. She is not even addressing the issues that you brought up. She just keeps going back to the contract. She fails to understand that your issue is with the way Carnival offered passengers on the next cruise to yours the opportunity to cancel or go on the cruise and for their inconvenience were also offered 25% on their next cruise. Yes, we all know that cruise lines have to re-route passengers to other islands when the weather is not cooperating but I believe that we all do expect to be treated equally under the exact same situations. This is just good customer service. The fact that you say that even a couple of Carnival reps have agreed that it would be fair if the Sept 3 passengers were also offered the 25% discount on their next Carnival cruise, says it all. It's only common sense. By all means, the contract does state that one is not entitled to anything and they don't have to offer anything. but once they do offer compensation, don't just offer it to one cruise that itinerary was changed, you should offer it to all cruises that were inconvenienced in the same way. Again, just common sense and good customer service.

    You can get standard bottled water but not the 'Premium' stuff (S. Peligrino, Evian, etc.) unless you upgrade the package.

    Thanks so much. Wow, this is really confusing. Hubby was told on the phone that NO bottled water was available on the classic package, standard or premium. He was told that in order to get water, we would have to also purchase the water package. Interesting...

  7. The Classic package includes the speciality coffees. Bottled water, fresh squeezed juice and soda in addition to the alcohol. You can get a wide variety of drinks within the package limit of $9. Drinks at the World Class bar are above the Classic package as are the large Martinis at the Martini Bar.

     

    What you can't get is drinks for your friends. The package can't be shared and if you attempt to they can revoke your package.

    Hello. We called Celebrity to ask exactly what was included in the classic beverage package and were told that water is NOT included. Sodas are included but NOT water. I'm hoping that this information wasn't correct.

  8. Glad to see that they have fixed the problem with the double points. However, be aware that they are still having an issue with posting your Princess purchases on the "purchases available for redemption" page where you can redeem points for statement credit. We paid off a cruise several weeks back that was over 4,500.00 and it hasn't shown up yet on the site to be able to redeem at 2%. Hubby made a call to Barclays and was told that there was a problem with posting the purchases but they could take care of it on the phone. She told him that chances were not good that it would appear on the statement page any time soon. Now, the problem is for those who don't realize that a Princess purchase of 4,001.00 and above entitles you to 2% of all of your points. Had I not know this, I would have redeemed points that were listed under a Carnival cruise payment which was only 2,400.00 and lost a LOT of money. Just something to be aware of if you go online to redeem your points for statement credit.

  9. Okay....photo of Reflection Aft S2 deck 12, next to my S1 corner aft. You can also see a little of the cabins below that are partially covered. That would be what you are asking about. Hope this helps! Only deck 12 has all the cover, with the rest only with a partial cover, but depending on the sun not too bad.

    We have written in eggs benedict, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, toast, different types of pastries, orange juice, etc. You just write in how many of each you would like and if it is at all possible, they will accommodate you.

    Well hey there BFF. This is for Jan 22, 2017. We couldn't resist all of the OBC on this one and it's a pretty good itinerary. We went back and forth on this cruise and finally caved yesterday afternoon. Take a look see and come join us.. I'm sure we could find some sort of trouble to get into together. :D
