  1. We're doing a B2B on Navigator next month, the week before and after Easter, so I expect there to be lots of children on board, who may or may not be vaccinated.  We will definitely mask during the first cruise when around other people indoors to minimize chances of testing positive on the test at the end of the first cruise.  Second cruise will probably mask less, but will definitely mask whenever kids are around, and probably will mask when indoors at crowded venues.

Do the recent changes worry you about your B2B?

You weren't asking me, but yup, the new no-masking policy terrifies us.  We're doing a B2B on Navigator on April and plan to mask during the first cruise whenever we're around other people (unless eating or drinking) to minimize possibility of catching something during the first cruise.

It's great when you hear back quickly but at times you may not find out until you get to the terminal.

    A nice surprise !!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what happens to your luggage?  I assume they re-route it somewhere and it goes to your new cabin, even with tags for the old cabin on them?

This is a very enlightening thread -- I've never heard of Royal Up before.

Why not just cruise now with only vaccinated and NO kids until 2022.............When there will be less people getting Covid because of Herd Immunity.

Kids went without cruising for 15 months, what's another 6 months.

Like I said, that would be 100% fine with me, but my guess if that Royal is worried they'll burn goodwill with the families if they say no kids on cruises until they're eligible to get the vaccine.

Royal cannot “require” 95/98 in Florida because of the law which is why freedom needed the test cruise. Royal has also said their summer sailings were typically families and it was unlikely they could reach those percentages anyway.  So Freedom had to test

I think the bigger issue is that Royal brands itself as the "family" version of its ships, and approx. 10% of passengers (under current situation) on Royal are too young to be vaccinated.  Personally, I'd be fine if they just told everyone be vaccinated or pay extra for testing and insurance, but I don't have wee ones.

and that is what i meant when i said it will be a major hit to the industry.  that is a LOT of refunding....

We were supposed to go on a RCL 6-day cruise in late September.  I wanted a different itinerary (the one with 2 ports of call in Cuba), but this was a compromise with my husband.  Not at all excited about the substitute itinerary, but between the 50% refund from RCL and the non-refundable plane tickets to Miami we already booked, we'll make it work.  I do hope in the future that Americans can cruise again to Cuba, and if it is again prohibited, the change isn't nearly so abrupt.  So much for grandfathering in travelers who had already paid for their travel.

  7. Got off Enchantment this morning. The first afternoon we were looking (unsuccessfully) for an electrical outlet by the bed (didn't think there was one, but something on an in-room video made us think there might be one near the floor around the head of the bed) in our junior suite. When I pulled back my nightstand, a large candy wrapper was there. Later that afternoon, I adjusted the coffee table and the top funnel of a beer bong rolled out from underneath.

Then, for the first day and a half (and sporadically thereafter), whenever we tried to run hot water in the bathroom sink, the water was brown. Ewwww! I asked our cabin attendant about it the second morning (after she had cleaned), and she acted like she had no idea about the problem, but she admitted "sometimes it happens when they are scrubbing the tanks." I told her it had been happening both the night before and that day, so she said she ask about it. So if she had no idea, how was she cleaning our bathroom sink? Using cold water? Just wiping it down dry? Not cleaning it at all?

The day we were supposed to go to Coco Cay, we ordered room service breakfast. In his haste, my husband overturned his plate with hash browns and scrambled eggs onto the carpeting. He cleaned up the biggest pieces himself and figured she would vacuum and get the rest. Nope, apparently the vacuum cleaners in the hallways were just for show.

This was our fifth RCCL cruise (my eight overall on all cruise lines), and it was definitely the dirtiest cabin. :(
