    Breakfast was....an interesting experience.

First let me say I personally have no concerns with social distancing. I am an introvert and I prefer to be alone.

When I got to the dining room I was behind a line of 9 people. They were asking if anyone wanted to share a table and taking those that said yes right in. I declined. I'm in no hurry.

When I made it to the front of the line they kept saying the word share. It was hard to understand through his mask and accent but I could understand share and I kept saying no thank you and shaking my head no.

I was seated at a table for two. And then so was another man.

Really. I didn't want to make a big deal at this point so I shared a table with a stranger. Btw neither of us was wearing our vaccination bracelet.

Last night they brought out cake to the table next to me and apologized they could not sing happy birthday due to protocols, but this is okay.

Again I personally have zero concerns at home in Florida and certainly not on a vaxxed and tested ship, but I don't like sharing a table with someone I don't know.

Breakfast itself was good. I got an omelet although I forgot to take a picture, I just wanted to hurry up and eat and move on.

Ugh that would really bother me.

  2. Wow, I just got on to post this same "problem". I only ask for one new port each cruise but that is getting harder and harder tomfind. I live in NC so the FL ports are easy for us to drive to. We have been to St Thomas, St Marteen, St John, Cozumel, Costa Maya, Grand Caymen, Freeport, Nassau, Haiti and Jamaica. Any suggestions?

  3. Hi, does anyone know how medical care is charged? We were on the Oasis last week and my MIL fell ice skating and broke her arm. The medical center x-rayed it and wrapped it in a splint until she could get a cast.

She wasn't charged on her sea pass card or credit card. Do they bill you through the mail? Any idea what they charge? She is very concerned about the cost.

    Thanks!

  4. We were on this cruise also. I was amazed with the disembarkation process. Super efficient. We were assigned #26 for a 9:30 disembark time. They were ahead of schedule and called our # around 8:55. We were in the car and on the road by 9:20. Great job RC and Port Canaveral!

Also, you can opt for early disembarkation if you carry your own luggage off.

  5. Disembarking was the _easiest_ disembarkation process I've experienced. From stateroom to car in less than 15 minutes. We were given tag number 15, which is called at 8:50am. We were in the terminal at 8:50 on the dot and our bags were there waiting for us. Immigration was lightning-fast (this I'd say it's a variable you should take into consideration, so I'd say pad it with 15 mins extra in your estimates).

  6. They had a 30% off excursion sale about a month ago for our 11/5 sailing on Oasis out of Port Canaveral. From what I read, excursion sales are rare. We already had our excursions booked but were able to cancel and rebook them for the discount. So you may want to reserve the ones you want now and then if there is a sale, rebook them at the sale price. Good luck!
