Did the Sky twice this yr and both times walk off with luggage started about 7:30a. Out of the garage at 7:50a. Hope this helps.
I am sailing the end of September and flying out of FLL. Do you think I will have issues making a 10 flight from FLL?
-
I am sailing for the first time on Norwegian out of MIA. In my previous cruise experience with other lines, I would have no issues debarking in time to make a 10 am flight out of FLL. I know it is always a risk but in your experience is self debarking easy with Norwegian or should I change my outgoing flight to a later time? Thank you

Tuesday weigh in....no loss no gain...maybe I should turn the scales facing south.:D
Okay...let's try less fruit more walking.
I had this issue for 2 weeks and they told me to cut bananas. I did and lost 2.2 on my Saturday weigh in. I previously ate 1 banana every day. Hang in there :)

Thanks for the tip, gobucks. We have never done the FLLto MIA connection before.
No problem. We always fly into FLL because it is less expensive. Have used Steve @ SAS several times :)

Great review and pix. DW and I will be on Breeze for the 7/6/12 sailing, we are flying into FLL and taking shuttle to Port of Miami. Do you have any recommendation on what shuttle to use, and price?
Adman98 we are on the same cruise :) we utilize SAS transport. Great service

gobucks_43228,
Assuming they're consistent with charges, $112 should be your roundtrip cab fare ($56 each way).
Thanks so much. I'm assuming that's TOTAL not per person? That's not a bad rate at all if so.

LOVED IT!!! booked through Gordon but had our own driver as we really only wanted to see Devil'sbridge and have beach time. He took us the Long Bay Beach. We spent a few hours and then he picked us up and stopped at Devils bridge. LOVED. It.

Upon returning to our room we found this fella guarding our Platinum gifts;

When traveling throughout the ship our boys have always navigated right and left hallways by odd and even room numbers. On Breeze, it's even more obvious where to go;

Karen, Bryson, Heather, Kimberly, Mike and I all enjoyed an evening playing in the casino while the boys took in Thrill Theater movies and basically hung out in their preferred areas of Circle C / Club 02.
Our next day was Dominican Republic and I'll spare you the arrival to port pics since they are mostly of an industrial area.
We did meet the Carnival photog as we exited the gangway;

We exited the pier area and once in the taxi corral we were matched up with a driver who agree to return to pick us up. The pics are a bit out of order in terms of time so I'll just go through a few from the Dreams Resort which was our destination for the day.
This is from our stroll for food;

Dreams is all inclusive so all food and drinks are included.....and VERY tasty;

Service was excellent;
Can you advise what we would expect to pay for a taxi pp roundtrip to Dreams? There are 7 in our group. Thanks :)

lifeisgoodPat,
Thank you.
The burgers are just too tasty to resist aren't they?
gobucks_43228,
Thank you.
Palm Beach is a public beach with hotels and multiple vendors. DePalm Island is a private resort style island with man made lagoons and water park. Friends of ours went to DePalm Island and while they enjoyed it they said they'd have preferred Palm Beach after seeing our pictures.
I didn't spend enough time on the public decks to notice whether they policed the chair hogs or not. The only time I noticed chair hogs was the one time during the rain storm when I noticed all the saved chairs and saw active chair hogging as it occurred. :rolleyes:
Thank you. I think we will also chose Palm Beach :)
-
LOVE THE REVIEW!!! We will be doing this same itinerary in July. We have booked the dreams resort also so I'm pleased you enjoyed it.
I have 2 questions also:
1. Is Palm Beach the same as DePalm Island?
2. Do they still police the chair hogs?
THANKS

Gobucks, I use a few of them sometimes. I think I may have used 5 this week. I pretty much try to stay away from them, I have 100 lbs to lose, and am trying to really stick to the basic plan. And I keep seeing on here that people who use a lot of them don't lose, or worse, gain. SO I'm being a good girl. :D
I usually just use my activity points but sometimes I use some allowance points and when I do I abuse them, lol. Trying to break that habit.

I can't believe it, but I lost 5.4 lbs this week. I had to weigh myself 3 times to be sure it wasn't playing tricks on me. Definitely got the 'you're losing weight too fast' note when I plugged in the new number.
I'm just sticking to tracking everything, eating extra veggies and fruits, and have a water drinking app on my phone that I use religiously. That's 23 lbs in 8 weeks. I'll take it!
That is awesome!!! Congrats. Do you use your allowance points?
I've lost 2.6 for the past two weeks and I would LOVE to see a number like yours :)

Just joined WW last week. Excited to find this group.

Congratulations :)
Anxious to hear the story

We did the Twister boat. We have done it twice and loved it. The island is beautiful and the food and drinks were included. I haven't heard of a power catamaran but the Twister Boat was a lot of high speed fun (twists turns and you get soaked!!)

I am looking for opinions for which deck for the aft extended balconies. Hopefully some pics as well. I want to make sure that they have a couch, and not just a chair.
Thanks!
The ones with a couch are for 3 persons and the one with a chair, 2 people. We were booked in one with a chair but quickly switched to a 3 person (couch) on the Freedom last year with only 2 guests and that's how it was explained. If you look at the deck plan it will show you which have the couches.

Jumping on that same topic. We love the sea days too. That's the only thing I wish we're different on our Breeze sailing. With it being a new, big ship I'm afraid of missing some things. We have 5 Port stops back to back. :eek:

Our 8 night had 2 last year.

Awesome thread :)

I enjoy 1 night of it. Most nights I still wear a dress/sundress anyway. I enjoy being comfortable. We also use the cruise photos for a family portrait opportunity so we like to dress accordingly

I see night 2 on the 3 day sky cruise is the white party. Was there a "formal" night or am I wasting time packing a formal-ish dress?
