  1. With the promotion OLife Ultimate we’ve got 6 free Shore Excursions. I’ve never booked our excursions before the cruise, but to get this benefit we need to book in advance.

The conditions are: OLife Ultimate FREE Shore Excursions vary by voyage and exclude Oceania Choice, Oceania Exclusive and Executive Collection. All Shore Excursions must be chosen at least 14 days prior to sailing.

When I go to My Oceania I see the list of all the excursions with 3 prices: ‘tour pricing’, ‘UPC’(unlimited excursions for € 756) and ‘YWC’ (price when minimum of 5 excursions for 25%off).
I’m not familiar with the Unlimited Passport Collection (UPC).
Does this means UPC equals the possible free excursion?
Does the system make it a free excursion automatically when I make a choice?

The ‘OS’ and ‘OE’ excursions are at a lower price under ‘UPC’ then  under the ‘tour price’. It’s this a supplement price  if I order this excursion as part of the free excursions? Or are those excursions of limits as the conditions mention?

Any other suggestions about the excursions I need to know about?

    Thanks

  2. I'm sure we’ll have an excellent experience on the Riviera whatever the cabin situation will be. I was more worried about having to go through check-in again. Your responses made me think it will be a very ‘painless’ event.

It needs to be a lazy day because the night before we have dinner reservations for Toscana and on the 24th we’ll dine at Jacques :).

  3. Hi everyone,

My husband asked where I wanted to dine on our anniversary. I jokingly said ‘on the Riviera’ (last year we’ve sailed for the first time with Oceania and had an incredible time).

Long story short: we’ve ended up booking a B2B cruise for the first time. Both cruises are in a Guarantee stateroom (same category).

Our wedding anniversary is on August 24 , 2016. This is the last day of the first cruise and also the first day of the 2nd cruise. We’ll be in Rome on that day. we have often been in Rome so we just want a lazy day.

    My questions:

    - Maybe we’ll need to change cabine: must we leave the ship and have to go back through the check-in process?

    - What else is different? Are there different rules for those who remain on board? What is the atmosphere like? Is lunch possible in the Grand dining room? …

    Please, share your experiences.

    Veerle

  4. Hi Janet,

We'll have to ‘abandon’ the Riviera on August 31, so we’ll make room for you :).

Last year we departed from Venice and we used the people mover (monorail). It is easy but the ship was not that close to the people mover stop, and we still had to walk a bit at noon while there was a heatwave: this was not so pleasant. Apparently there is a shuttlebus but we did not see it. So look out for this bus if the ship is far from the port entrance.

The Captain's Party was on the third evening.

  5. Last year on our Mediterranean cruise on the Equinox we’ve booked a specific balcony stateroom but then the price for a suite dropped significantly and we were able to upgrade to a suite GTY for only 80 dollars. When I’ve checked my Celebrity account we were immediately assigned a stateroom number and it was the first available sky suite. It was great, so no complains. But now I’m still wondering: if Celebrity gives you a stateroom number immediately, then there’s no chance of getting a better room because it’s no longer defined as GTY on one’s account?

Same thing this year: I’ve booked a oceanview stateroom GTY. On my Celebrity account I was assigned a stateroom number immediately (the first available in cat 8).

So the longer the wait for news the better??

  6. Background:

I’ve booked a oceanview stateroom GTY on the Celebrity Constellation departing from Amsterdam on June 26 2014 to the fjords in Norway.

I’ve booked this cruise with a big online American TA (for the 4th time in 4 years and every time a Celebrity cruise :)) on April 9 2014. I was asked to pay in full because of the sailing date being so close to the booking.

    Questions:

    1) when is final payment? I’ve learned on this great forum that when there’s a price-drop before final payment one can ask for a price-adjustment.

The price has dropped with 190 dollars in total, so I’m not sure whether this is sufficient to ask an adjustment but perhaps the price will drop again and if that happens I want to be prepared.

    2) On my Celebrity account I was assigned a stateroom number immediately (the first available in cat 8).

Can one ask to be put back in a GTY so there’s a possibility of getting a better stateroom (or even an upgrade :D)?
