People were able to purchase NCL transfers to either airport onboard. They started listing the ability to do so in the daily planner. One of my cruise mates paid $47 for Punta Cana. Her debarkation time was 7:30 AM. This was right after the self assists.

I had a great time. We had a large solo group (10-13 on any given night) and Emanuel was the solo host. He was fantastic.

Thank you! Happy to hear you had a great cruise.

IMG_2320.dngI just boarded the Sky and you can put your bags in the mojito bar.

Greetings. I wanted to do the March 20 cruise but was unable.  I am going on the 4/20 nine day.  I was wondering about your experience and especially about debarkation.  What time do they start to disembark? Are there transfers available to the Punta Cana Airport? I wasn't able to book ship transfer back to the airport.  Anything else that would be important to know for a solo cruiser? Thanks in advance, Barbara

  3. I was on the Epic Caribbean cruise 12-22-19 thru 12-29-19.  During the cruise I developed symptoms very similar to the coronavirus (terrible dry cough, chills & night sweats, fatigue, fever (but low 99-101), loss of appetite).  I also experienced a few episodes where I had trouble taking deep breaths, which is unusual for me as while I am 57 years old... I am in very good physical shape... run marathons, etc.  While on the cruise I told my wife that I had never experienced something like this before... some strange respiratory sickness. I did not have a runny nose or nasal congestion.  When I got back to the US, I got screened for strep and the flu.... both tests came back negative.  I felt better after about 10 days... but it took a good 3 weeks to get rid of the dry cough.  This was a few weeks before any of us heard of the "coronavirus"... which was starting to ramp up in China.   I am writing this in case someone reads this and experienced the same symptoms I did on the Norwegian Epic during similar timeframe.  While not convinced that I had the coronavirus... I do think there is a chance that I did, or had some other related strain.   Curious if there are others out there that experienced similar symptoms while on that cruise.

We were on the Epic 1/26-2/6. Although we did not get sick, a woman we met on the cruise got sick near the end with similar symptoms. She stayed in the cabin the last few days but was quite ill when she disembarked. Her physician told her she probably had bronchitis. She was treated but still has a cough. She suspects it was Covid 19.

  4. Does anyone know if you can take the ferry from Fort de France to Anse Mitan, then returned from Pointe du Bout to Fort de France on the return? Just curious if you have to arrive and depart by the same stop both ways?

    Thank you in advance.

Yes, I am sure you can. We actually took ferry to Pointe du Bout walked to Anse Mitan and took ferry back from there.

  5. I just came back from a southern Caribbean cruise and contracted an URI around the sixth day of a 10 day cruise. Three years ago I came down with the same thing half way through. I thought I was well and immune system in good shape...!! Travel on planes, generally twice a week and have managed not to have this kind of infection. Oh well, despite the illness I had a good time and am recuperating at home.
