  1. A lady died next to us...

We were on the Dream a few years ago out of New Orleans, second day of cruise. We were on the smoking deck 11 watching a movie. Next to us at the table near the seaside railing, was an older lady on Oxygen, smoking away, fell off the chair, screaming of her family ensued, crew came rapidly, got all others out of the section, sheeted the area up, finally took her out in an hour or so. Anyhow, next day, her companion and family were partying on the same deck. Yes, she did pass away, did not leave ship at the next port, but stayed and got off back in New Orleans.

  2. Isn't it now 90 days prior you can select a check-in time?

FTTF does sell out quickly. Just check every morning (early, like 5:45) and you may luck out. I was able to snag it for some friends of ours for our June cruise.

Thanks,,i didnt think it was corerct either..but did not know about the 90 days out part..i check every day for FTTF :(

  3. I justed to give a review of Machu Pichu parking. It was great. Got there early on Sunday, about 9:30am, had a van that was ready to take me to cruiseport when I arrived. Trip took about 5 minutes start to finish. One we got back, I called at 7:30am and he was there within 5 minutes for pickup! I was on the road by 7:45am. Cost was $110. They keep the car covered in a secure parking area, no issues whatsoever!

  4. Has anyone ever bought one of those GIANT bottle of booze in cozumel? How hard is it to get it thru customs? Any additional charges for bringing that large amount back into the states? I would love to get one for the guys I work with....but i dont know how easy (or cheap) it is to get back into the US.

    Thanks!

  5. $300 used on CL....that's a great price for a Luggie!! They are normally very expensive (as you mentioned). How do you like it? My DH was going to get one for me but I disuade him due to the cost. Hope you get many fun mileage on that special scooter:p

Love it! We went to Roatan, Belize and Cozumel. The only port we did not go to was Belize (due to inablilty to get on tender, steep steps). Was able to move around the ship fantastically, no issues whatsoever. Only caveat since we were at front of ship, on the 11 deck, had to go down 3 steps to the room from the deck...thank god that chair is fairly light..i would have DIED if that was her at home chair!!!

Next cruise is Jamaica (meh), Grand Cayman and back to Coz. Hopefully we can get off at Grand Cayman and swim with the Rays!

  6. So excited to hear about this! We are booked there at the end of October! Any hints for when we are there?

No real hints..We met at the bottom of the hill, don't waste $2 per person for the taxi..its an easy walk, my wife's scooter had no trouble with the hill..AT ALL!! We started with a visit to a local Hotel/beach club, a tour of the island, then drove our way over to the Monkeys/Sloths. Then off to the Iguana farm, then to the other side of the island. There were many beautiful beaches we could have stopped at.. (but were not beach people :))...just a lot of driving and sight weeing..WE LOVED IT!!!!

  7. Hi,

How did you get in contact with Eunice to book your tour with her we really want to go to the Monkey and Sloth hangout? Thanks

I contacted Daniel thru his FB page, via facebook messenger (or the send message) button..I didnt ask for Eunice, but Im sure you can..she was great!!

  8. Ok, wife is handicapped, so zipline, river rafting, diving etc is out. Will there be any other things that we might enjoy..any zoos? animal farms etc..things that are paved or very flat a scooter can get around to.

    Thanks

  9. Really???:confused::confused::confused:

Did you look at his FB page? These are rescue animals others have given him. The sloth lives in a tree behind his house...not in a cage. It can come and go if it pleases..but it likes it there. Have you ever been to a zoo? They are held "captive" as well. I would guarantee that these animals live better than any other animal in the wild on this island thanks to Daniel's care of them. But everyone has their own opinions, and I respect yours...though I disagree with it very much..at least concerning MY post about Daniel Johnson.

  10. Booked many months before the cruise. Got to port on Wednesday, walked up the hill and down again. Daniel and his aunt, Eunice, were there and waiting for us. Eunice gave us a great tour of the island. She was very easy to talk to and VERY accommodating. My wife is in a scooter, so the beaches were out. She took us to a resort, that had a pier type bridge my wife could roll around on. Then it was off to see the Monkeys, Sloth and other animals at Daniels. I got to hold the monkeys, we both got to hold a parrot and the wife was able to hold the sloth. It was the best part of our week long cruise!!! Then it was off to feed the iguanas..another great time. Thank you Eunice!! I hope you see this and we REALLY appreciate the time you gave us!!!

If you have someone in a wheelchair or a scooter, and you dont think there is anything to do on Roatan..please...please...please, look up Daniel Johnson on FB.
