  1. I will be in Maui on May 9th and booked the Taste of Maui Tour with Hawaii Cruise Excursions dot com, sound like a fun day, food, winery, lavender farm and other stops around the Island 5 hours in total

  2. So is this only available to passengers arriving on flights the day of the cruise?

We are driving in from Ft. Myers and will be turning our rental car in at the Miami airport. It would be nice to get checked in while we are there, before we take the shuttle to the port.

I used the Carnival airport check in on my last cruise, our flight arrived the day before we stayed at the hotel inside the airport and in the morning we just went down to the terminal checked in and then boarded the shuttle bus to the port. all very easy and stress free!!

  3. Another thing I love to do is order a cheese plate from room service to enjoy with my wine while I'm getting ready for dinner! It's a nice variety of cheeses!!

Great idea! we always have late seating so usually very hungry while getting ready for dinner I will do this one my next cruise in May!

  4. I love the Breeze too! I have been on it for a total of 26 days, I went on the pink boat in between the Breeze cruises and didnt like it as much, I missed the different food venue options, the Red Frog Pub and the outside deck 5. Next up is the Miracle to Alaska, although I really need to get out of this deep freeze!!!

Can't wait for baseball to start!!Let's go Blue Jays!!!

  5. John - thanks for the perfect answer, we may be flying in late to catch a Carnival cruise the next day. I fly from Toronto and the timing is not the best to catch the 3p.m. embark deadline.

I appreciate your help - Shar

we are flying in the evening before our cruise and thinking about just staying at the hotel inside MIA, so we dont have to worry about a taxi or shuttle to local hotels. In the morning we will take the Carnival shuttle to the port.

  6. Make sure you stop at the Rectors Palace, they have a special device which can take WC guests up the steps. No charge for the service and it is there from our local MS society with a volunteer to assist.

You may want to ask the taxi to drop you at the Ploce (plo-cha) gate as it will be much less busy than the Pile Brsalje area with all the shuttle buses. Easy walk down the ramp into the old town from Ploce.

    thanks again for your help!

  7. You are arriving here in August, our busiest month and only a few of our local buses have an easier access via the middle door. The wait for a bus which is not overflowing with tourists could be hours, so a taxi may be your best option. Can she with you assistance get from the chair into a car? Is she needs to have a lift or ramp, you will need to locate a local transfer agency and make arrangements prior to arrival.

The main promenade is fairly flat, on each side of the old town there are many steps. You will be able to get around inside the old town without much difficulty. If I can help, do let me know I can try to contact my friend who volunteers with our local MS society.

thank you, taxi sounds like they way we will go, her WC is very small (almost like a stroller) and can be folded and placed into a car trunk, I will lift her in/out of the vehicle, glad to hear the main promenade is fairly flat, looking forward to visiting Dubrovnik!

  8. I will be stopping in Dubrovnik on Thurs. Aug 23rd. aboard the Carnival Breeze, I will be travelling with my daughter who is in a manual wheelchair and we would like to make our way to the Old Town can you tell me if there are accessible buses or taxis to Pile Gate, and also if the main street of old town is somewhat flat or are there a lot of stairs?

    thank you
