  1. We've sailed in Lido 108 on several of the Royal-class ships and recently took Caribe 101 on the Sky. There is a lot of ship motion in forward cabins, depending on the seas. I'm not prone to motion sickness on cruises, so the motion doesn't bother me. The furniture on the balcony does get blown around occasionally. You have to be careful going outside while the ship is underway because the wind can take your glasses right off your face. When the wind is calm, the forward balcony is a wonderful place to be while sailing. I'll also say you will hear and feel the thrusters when they're operating. Caribe 101 is very close to the winching deck, so when the anchors are dropped, there is a lot of noise! All this tends to be very early in the morning.

From Lido 108, you can look up to the Sanctuary but looking down from the Sanctuary, I can't really see much of the balcony. There was occasional noise coming from above but not much and not often. Nevertheless, we love these unique rooms and balconies and forward views.

Hey jadn (or anyone who has cruised recently)…we board Enchanted tomorrow and I have no idea what the going rate is to tip the porters per bag? I know from experience they will be glad to inform us, loudly, if we appear clueless at the port. 🙄😂

We usually have only four bags and I give them at least a twenty; they seem pleased with that. Inflation may be pushing their expectations up. These guys are worth taking care of, since your bags are out in the open for a while and the porters are guarding them for you.

  3. We were on the Regal at the end of October and the Medallion.Net was excellent speed. We had some challenges switching our account between phone and tablet. The pamphlet we were given says use "login.com" to start, and use "signout.com" to log off the device. Not "logout.com" like it used to be. But that was on the October 27th sailing; maybe it has changed since then.

  4. On Saturday, March 11th, as the Regal Princess was sailing past the Bahamas, we passed the Royal Princess on it's way south. We just happened to be walking around and stepped out onto the Promenade and there she was! Shortly after, the Captain made a general announcement to tell everyone it was there. The Regal crew sounded the Love Boat theme twice but the Royal didn't respond.

  5. I will add that my experience with putting a tip on the check, at the beginning of the cruise, paid off for us. In a crowded Ocean Terrace or Crooners our favorite waiters spotted us from across the room and brought us our usual drinks quickly.

I'd like to know for certain if the tips are shared or not, and does cash versus account matter. I don't usually carry cash when I'm on board.
