I read there were problems on the last cruise from Montreal.   We are on the next cruise from Montreal with friends who have never been on Silversea.  We had a great cruise the one time we have cruised with Silversea and hoping for another one.  Thanks.

How formal are the Formal Nights on the Wind?

Is one able to avoid them for dining or are all venues “formal”?

We are considering a cruise on Silver Wind from Montreal to Fort Lauderdale. We have never cruised with Siverseas so I went to look at the reviews. They did not give me a good feeling...

We like Oceania a lot - have cruised many lines but prefer Oceania. We prefer Oceania because of their itenararies which is our main reason we chose a cruise. They have few sea days which again we prefer. We are foodies and feel Oceania is number one in that category.

However, this past January we found a cruise on a Viking which we liked. We had read a lot about them and decided to try them. We really enjoyed Viking all around.

If I were you, I would try it so you can compare. The ships are very new so up to date. Food was wonderful. We have nothing against children but liked the fact it was adult only. We do not drink so had no problem with all inclusive on that. Also, we went to a few shows but again we are on the ship for the itenanary not entertainment.

We have been on cruises where we had butlers but never used them. We never really needed them but maybe we didn’t know exactly how to use them? We have never used room service either. We like to be out of our rooms as much as possible. Maybe someone can tell me what butlers actually do for you?

We are staying on South Beach W.

we have one full day in Miami before our cruise begins.
