DW and I liked it. It made us want to try Royal Caribbean. We've only been on Princess & the NCL new ships.

For something a little different, you could stay at Hilton Garden Inn, Staten Island one night before your cruise. They have free parking while on your cruise and a free shuttle to EWR w/reservation. You could still use the Princess shuttle to get to the cruise port or a car service from your hotel.

Wear what you want.

I second the Embassy Suites. It's great for families.

Definitely check into it, texting is usually the cheapest way to do a quick check in. I live in the US and last I checked with my carrier incoming texts were 5 cents and outgoing were 50 cents while at sea. In port it varied depending on the location.

Yep, I have Verizon in the US. 50 cents outgoing & 5 cents incoming for texts at sea.

Yes, getting on the water is a good thing, paying for the bottled water isn't so much. 😂

Unfortunately, it looks like you fall into the self- insured category. Most of the time it works out great.
