After reading your post #3 as well as post #4 I don’t understand why the author was still doubting that the Classic package includes cappuccino. Thank you for pointing that out to me as well as pointing out I can get a few alcoholic coffees. Bonus!

I’m doubting it because the celebrity website is a giant mess and pages could not have been updated. I’m doubting it because the recent blog post alluded to the fact that premium coffee was only including it premium package. I’m doubting it because I asked if anyone had any recent firsthand knowledge. I’m doubting it because I asked about cappuccino specifically and not alcohol in coffee. I’m doubting it because I get different answers to questions when celebrity staff is not informed of updates and just repeating   same confusing nonsense that is on the website.

I commented above saying espresso and cappuccino is included but I just looked at the website and there is new wording.  I don't know when this occurred and it is confusing because it makes it seem like Café al Bacio would not be included as part of the Classic Beverage Package - which makes absolutely no sense.  ...but with other recent Celebrity changes, who knows?!

This is on their website if you do some digging and lists everything out.   Premium coffee and tea shows it's included in the Classic Beverage Package.

However...when I go to my Cruise Planner under Drink Packages they list what's included.

This is the Classic Beverage Package.  Note that Premium coffee and teas are NOT listed.   ???

This is what's listed under Premium.  It has a specific notation saying the Zero Proof is included and in that it has  Premium coffee and tea.   I know many things in Zero proof aren't part of the Classic but premium coffee and tea was always part of the Classic Beverage Package.

I was 100% sure when I first posted.  Now, I'm not.  Celebrity is infamous for problems with wording, websites, etc... so maybe it's just an omission online.

Hopefully someone currently onboard that has the Classic Beverage Package can give you first hand knowledge in case there has been a change.   You can also call Celebrity but that might not give you an accurate answer either. 😆

I thought it was me.  I keep reading it over and over.  All my life I believed I had good reading comprehension (reading medal in 8th grade 1969, humble brag) until I met Celebrity.  I think I understand but just want it to say something different.

    Thanks for replying.

I have the same confusion. The website clearly (to me anyway) says it’s not included but every online says it is. I’ll just wait and see.

This, exactly.  I think its a recent change.  I want everyone to be right, but the way I read it, if you want cappuccino you need the premium package. Sigh.

I am going to wait until I board and ask.  I'd rather drink more cappuccino and espresso, Pellegrino and coke than alcohol so hoping to switch.

    Thanks, Nancy.

  4. Specifically, I want to know if cappuccino and espresso is included in the classic package or do you have to upgrade to Premium. and what types of sodas are included  if you can't get Coke products?

Also, why is Celebrity deliberately vague.  The blog states upgrade to Premium and start your day with a premium coffee.  Then, it says under Premium includes specialty coffee.

I think I know the answer but I would appreciate hearing from someone with recent first hand knowledge.

If its what I think then I'm hoping I can downgrade my husband and myself to zero proof. I drink more coffee and Pelligrino than booze.  I am not looking for a refund since package was included years ago. Just a downgrade.

    Thanks

    Nancy

    Cruise Withdrawal ???  Really ???

    Feeling " bummed "  over missing a drink ??

I'd rather think how lucky I am to have cruised , will cruise again in the future , pass some time on CC and could absolutely care less when our next cruise will be.

How about the people that have lost their jobs, can't pay their rent , have little money for food , are taking a " beating " on the Stock Market, or are or have family or friends that are sick with this virus.

Trust me, they are not having " Cruise Withdrawal " .

IMO--- At a time like this , to have " cruise withdrawal "  is quite selfish.

Where I am it's cold , windy, and we have been quarantined since we returned to Canada.

OP states the obvious that there are people suffering and offered sympathy. Why are you even looking at cruise critic or this thread if you are so worried about the world.

I feel devastated that people have lost their lives , jobs, and savings. I feel grateful to those health care providers and essential workers stocking shelves and delivering food and medicine.

I am scared for my husband with health problems not only developing COVID but care for his condition if Er are overwhelmed

BUT I can take a break and reminisce with my CC neighbors about the joys of cruising and still have compasssion for ALL the troubles of others.

The cruise lines and airlines really need to be on the same page. If we reschedule our cruise to a similar one next May, it is a few weeks past the one year voucher being offered by the airline. Why don't they all offer vouchers through the end of 2021?

You have to read your contracts carefully. Flights by Celebrity is a liaison between you and the airline offering their assistance booking flights.  Multiple airlines are used. Not everyone on the flight is going on a cruise.  (I have read on CC that they helped stranded cruisers in Chile book flights back to US.) Ultimately you decide on the type of ticket you want to purchase. FBC explains that they abide by individual airline rules. The airline is a separate contract from cruise. The airline doesn’t care where you go when you land in another city.

However, these are extraordinary times. I believe the industries are trying to be fair offering alternatives.

We booked through United Airlines and were pleased with their policy. Since they postponed our flight to San Juan I was offered a full refund for that leg if the trip. But we chose to convert our tickets to a round trip to Houston where our daughter lives. United Agent was helpful finding us a flight in October with the best prices. Change fees were waived even though we booked Basic Economy.

The color in your photo is just AMAZING.  Is it enhanced? Or are you just a great photographer!

Why am I torturing myself? !!!!
We were going to be in cabin 1140 on the now canceled May 2 cruise. Our first time in a sunset aft.

Seriously, we are disappointed but grateful for our health, our home, our family...

    Hope we can cruise again.

  8. We love Aqua class because we enjoy the intimate setting of Blu and relaxing in the Persian Garden. On the Summit we like the slightly larger cabin. We booked an aft facing Aqua on Summit because we got a good deal. We were very excited because usually we feel Aqua cabins are too expensive to justify the cost of Blu and Persian Garden. We like to spread the vacation dollars around. Probably not taking the sailing due to COVID. Waiting for Celebrity to cancel. Sad but resigned.

hope everyone is safe and well.

Hello all, looking for opinions/experiences staying on deck 6 on the edge; right now looking at OV 6224 or 6138; main concern is noise from public areas on deck 5 (especially night after 10 pm) we currently have midship inside on deck 9 but may be able to upgrade due to price change, thanks!

We had cabin 6231 in January. No noise at all. It was a panoramic ocean view and we loved it. Booked almost same location on Apex for next year.

  10. We use Uber all the time. Great conversation with our driver from the Fort Lauderdale cruiseport to airport recently. Quick service. Glad to help out a fellow celebrity cruiser no matter where you post. I find the boards overwhelming to say the least.

  11. By using the Celebrity app I found it really helpful to message my husband on board .  Where are you sitting? Please bring me my forgotten headphones,  etc. It helped by wearing my Apple Watch. I also found it helpful to look at days activities and put them in app calendar. to remind me. I used the app to unlock my door, review my excursion time, appointments, and dining.

The  app had my xpress pass and booked excursions. . Even though I had them printed it was reassuring.

My phone was always on airplane mode. Just needed to connect to the general (Limited) complimentary Celebrity WiFi. No need for Internet package.

  12. Hi all' date='

I'm thinking of joining (rather rejoining) WW. I was in a few years back and lost 25lbs Got stuck in a rut and dropped out.

Now, not just for cruising but for health reasons, I need to take off some lbs and I thought I would return to WW.

I'm losing right now 5lbs but I'm thinking support is needed. Also, meeting are better for me. I tried online, that sucked for me.

Since they have a new program, I just wanted to get some feedback, thank you in advance.[/quote']

    Hello

I am a lifetime member of WW at goal. I rejoined several times, but feel the new Smart Points program is better than the others even though I lost each time. I feel I am eating better and have more energy and less cravings. I am far from perfect and I need support. I go to meetings and I use the online tracker. The best part for me is their new Connect feature on the app. So much support. I have made friends all over the country inspiring and motivational.

  13. I phoned Celebrity and the rep has confirmed that this cruise on the March 14! 2016 is sold out. I know some colleges have spring break , but not all. The complaints from this year about the spring breakers seemed to be about a group of rowdy kids but not the whole boat. There are other 5 night cruises before and after this one that are not sold out. Why this one?

Maybe it's a group devoted to PI day 3.14 I knew there were others out there.

There's plenty of time before next year and I'm leaning toward taking a chance that I will fit in with whatever group is going. Turning back the clock to college is a stretch though.

I might book another cruise on board this year just as a precaution.

The ship books the same tour companies that you could book on your own and although the ship does add to the cost sometimes it is not much more. We like the convenience of booking through the ship and the guarantee return although most of the Alaska tour companies do guarantee return they may not wait if your late so we were glad we booked through the ship.

My husband and I enjoyed an excursion that included a short hike through the rainforest to a lake opposite the glacier then back on the bus to board a boat for some whale watching. It was a thrill to see the whales and we got some great photos.

My daughter and son in law booked helicopter ride to top of glacier for dog sledding. It was cancelled due to weather which happens often and then wound up canoeing on lake really close to glacier. They were very disappointed but glad they saved the money the other trip would have cost.

In Skagway we enjoyed the White Pass railroad which was paired with a trip to meet sled dogs, hold the puppies, and watch a demonstration of a musher.

In Ketchikan , we walked around town and immediately bought our fleece jackets at Ketchikan Trading company for $20 and never took them off for the rest of the trip. We also took a tour that we booked at the dock to ride around see some Eagles and totems. It was fine but whales, railroad, and puppies were definitely the highlight. We went early May so not much wildlife yet.

Sailing Tracy Arm fjord was also beautiful.

I would love to return perhaps in summer but maybe not. I think if you have never been to Alaska that whatever you pick you will enjoy.

    Have a great trip.

    Nancy
