Quick question for any experts

Sailing out of Cape Liberty in January, plan on having a roof rack+container on the SUV and parking at the port

Reading seems to indicate an oversized lot is available across from the parking garage?

Anyone used this lot? Where is it in relation to garage? Is it all secure and has anyone used it and felt car is just as safe?

Any need to try and avoid the roof carrier? ...other then possibly having to shovel the car out when we get back? 🙂

5 years old and accompanied by a parent/guardian

 

42 inches to drive alone

Has anyone with little ones been on the Bumper Cars on Anthem?

We have one that will be 4 years old when we go in January and I don’t want to mention bumper Cars if she won’t be allowed on.

Crossing my fingers she would be allowed on as a passenger with me.

Was great to hear she could do IFly, anyone taken their little ones on that?

Almost as if the upswell gods heard me on Friday, cruise still shows as 'sold out' but in an email Sunday night with another offer. So exactly 7 days before we sail.

Offer was.a VC to a Signature Suite for 149pp or to a Neptune Suite for 599pp

Just booked a Signature suite (SS Class) on deck 6 on Noordam. I called and didn't want anything on deck 8 since we're travelling with family on deck 4.

Glad we waited and hopefully this string will help others with the timing of things, although I think all cruise offers are unique to what kind of timing

Just to update we for our cabin assignment yesterday (11 days before sailing)

Got a VC Verandah on 4th floor

So doesn't look like another Upsell offer ever came, I am happy with where we are though

There is not a direct train from the port to the airport---you would take the train from the port to Rome Termini (5E each on local train) and then take the Leonardo Express from termini to the airport. note: there are no porters at Rome Termini--anyone offering to help with your luggage is potential trouble.

 

The .8E city shuttle bus runs from the train station to the drop off point for the port shuttle (which is free)----

Sorry Paul did you mean the 8E bus is the route (From Civi Train Station to Port bus?) or the cost is 8E?

We're DIYing Rome hotel to Civi Port in a couple weeks so planning Civi to Port Bus portion and last time we walked it!

What about going the other way? We're coming in from Rome to the port with luggage via the train. Is there a bus we can catch to take us to the port shuttle? I'd like to minimize the walk if possible. Trying to navigate the Termini with luggage will be stressful enough. Making it easier for 1 euro sounds good to me!

Taking train into Civi in august, does this 1E bus pickup incoming passengers at the train station?

All the Verandah Cabins disappeared off availability a few days ago. Now everything but a ocean view is showing as 'not available'

Will update if another offer comes, or if that's means it's all gone

With this much time left before we sail I have a feeling there will be another round.

If not, no loss we'll be happy with a Verandah on its own

Definitely will make sure I have my deck chart handy if I do get a shot, definitely don't want to be below the pool deck if I can manage it

Sailing Noordam in 3 1/2 weeks

Booked VH and being offered upgrade to SS-SZ signature for 400pp (11 day cruise) or to SA-SC Neptune for 1100pp

The difference in what I paid for the VH and the current price of the SZ is 400pp so doesn't seem like a deal to me

It looks like good amount of rooms still available for this cruise too. I think since they reduced prices in past couple weeks and the fact this offer is almost 4 weeks out they are looking to get people to upgrade

So the question is since I'm not willing to pay 800 total for this upgrade do I not answer the email and wait for another offer, or call and ask if they'd do it for 400 total? Hoping someone with experience in this can lend some advice

(FYI I booked directly with Holland and email came this afternoon)
