QUIET?: Very. In a small alcove with the Sky Suite.
BALCONY VIEW: Awesome! Our first time in an aft cabin and loved it. 180 degree view and the wake is pretty amazing.
BALCONY SIZE: Smaller than most, but how much room do you need? We ate breakfast on the balcony each morning and had no problems doing so.
WIND A PROBLEM?:Only when standing at rail. The whole week was very windy both at sea and in port. If it's calm may not be an issue at all.
SOOT A PROBLEM?:A little bit on the deck so wear shoes when you go out. Cabin Stewards do a great job of keeping it clean. Oddly enough, never had a problem with soot on the table or chairs. Definitely would not deter us from booking aft again.
PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:You should not be concerned with privacy on the balcony unless you plan to put on a show. When you are at the rail you are visible and can see others above and below, but when you are sitting you are protected and private. This cabin had a support pole (beam) running up and down as you entered the cabin. It didn't really bother us, it was more of a problem for room service to get trays in and out, but you need to be aware.
