We returned from a phenomenal trip on the Island on November 15 and are happy to report the excellent entertainment included a great live band, Fusion on the Lido deck, a live trio in the atrium as well as probably the best production shows we've ever seen by the Island singers and dancers. As mentioned, the Bayou show is top notch. Most nights there were two different shows--a combination of comedians and/or singers. The cruise directors staff frequently had an evening "game show" type activity in the Explorers Bar. There was a hypnotist who was not so entertaining... Of course, there were also MUTS (movies or football) on the big screen on the Lido deck and movies in the Princess Theater. There were more options than we had the energy to see.

We just returned from the Island Princess (Panama Canal). We tendered in Cabo San Lucas and San Juan del Sur. Tenders did not accommodate anyone who had mobility issues which preventing them from walking--not just wheelchairs or scooters. Princess excursions are labeled whether or not they are accessible.

Under the galley is awful! They cook and clean all night long: clanging metal and dropping objects. I always check deck plans after our experience! Live and learn!

There's a great beach right by the ruins. We wore our swimsuits and enjoyed some time in the water after our tour. It was wonderful to cool off.

Thanks. Never want to be under the galley again! We had a room under the galley on our first Alaska trip. There was no sleeping through the noise that started about 2 a.m. and lasted for hours. After complaining it was worse! There were no extra rooms :( I napped on the deck during the day--missing some of the spectacular scenery...

Welcome home! One question: what was the deck and number of the noisy room? Just booked the PC full transit on the Island Princess. Hoping for a quiet cabin...
Thanks.

We recently stayed on the Plaza deck in 501 and it was very quiet. Our friends had 503 with no noise. I picked our room because it was under the casino restroom and figured it would be quiet. When using the laundry room which is far aft on that floor, there was a lot of vibration which made me glad we were mid ship. It was very convenient to lounges, dining room, disembarking, and the atrium.
I will also add that we had maybe the world's smallest shower :) but we managed.
