  1. I am about to confirm booking for May 28 on the Admiralty Dream. Info was hard to come by, and, this will only be their 3rd trip... however, we are excited. (2 previous Cruise West Alaska trips)

Anyone else out there booking wth Alaskan Dream?

I'm going on a Road Scholar (previously Elderhostel) trip which is being hosted by Cruise West/sponsored by Alaska-in-Depth on the Admiralty Dream in July. Can't wait! Nice to see somebody else booked on this boat (but a different sailing). I wish Alaskan Dream Cruises could score a permanent page on cruise critic so that those of us who are booked would have a home, so to speak, on this web site. My trip is called "Alaska's Inside Passage Up Close". The itinerary can be seen on Road Scholar's web page. Where will you be going on your trip? Joyce

  2. Hi, Still gathering info re the Princess Inside Passage cruise from/to Seattle. My potential cabin mate mentioned Princess baggage transfer program today. Could somebody please tell me about that? Could we have our checked baggage transferred from Seatac to the ship if we fly into Seattle the day before the cruise and could we have it transferred from the ship to the airport if we flew out of Seattle the day after the cruise ended?

I don't know what I would do without Cruise Critic. I find this site so absolutely amazing!

    TIA. Joyce

  3. Going to bring this thead to the top as it's time to think about planning a trip to Maine. Years ago, I sailed on the Stephen Taber numerous times. LOVED IT! And would go in a heart beat now, though my DH would stay ashore.

Rockland and Camden, Maine are the best! Can't compare to a "traditional" cruise other than you're aboard a sailing vessel on the water. :D

I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Boy, I second that! I have been on the Stephen Taber many times starting when Jim Anderson owned her way back in the 60's then a bunch of times when Ken and Ellen Barnes were her captains, and now I'm set to go on her again in September with Ken and Ellen's son Noah as Captain. Can't wait. Bring *warm* clothes - think wool. September sailing can be better than summer sailing and I prefer that. Hope this helps. Joyce
