  1. We did it in October on the Anthem and it was a waste of time and money.  We could not hear the group leader, and when you could, it was still a challenge to catch every word due to his accent.  Breakfast was not worth it and we already had the drink package.  If you look at the pics someone posted above, that is exactly what you see.  And, that's it.

  2.   After reading negative comments about food on here and FB; for RC and another of our favorite cruise companies - I have to jump in!

Sometimes we get a bad meal, or small portion, but we eat again later.  There are plenty of places to eat on a ship.  Ironically, we don't cruise for the food anyway . . .it's the dancing every night . . .not having to worry about drinking and driving . . .if you don't like the atmosphere at one bar, move on to another . . .if only one of you wants to go out, the other can stay home and you still know where both of you are...you can eat at home, why worry about it on a cruise?

  3. Lots of replies, thank you.  I was interested, as an adult, because they offer similar classes out in the community, so I was wondering if this would comparable.  And, save the money in gas, and take it on the ship.

Got some thinking to do, as well as 125 days.

  4. I see Anthem of the Seas has a Cupcake Decorating class? Has anyone participated in this?  Was it worth the money?  Did you have fun?

    Do you have any comments?

I am especially interested in knowing how many cupcakes you get and can you take them home with you?

What tours are offered in MIA?  Many of the tours on the RCI site are shown as ending at the airport.  Do they have versions of these tours that return to the ship?

Hey, Davy Jones, I have been wondering the same thing since we booked?  We are on the 10/29 sailing and still have not booked any MIA excursions because the name includes "in transit."   Please keep in touch and let me know if you learn more.

It’s getting slower to upload pics.  I will still attempt to have menus and the Patter in my blog, but won’t upload in both places.

Just came from the naturalist’s second lecture on close encounters with Alaskan wildlife. I enjoy those so much. We had  breakfast in the buffet this morning so we would be able  to see any passing whales, and they did pass, on the opposite side of the ship. 😆 it’s great to have a naturalist on the bridge to Point then out.  Drinking a cappuccino in the IC and awaiting lunch in the dining room, which is starting early today, at 11am, before our arrival in Juneau.

We have plans to take the tram today, visibility permitting, and do some hiking on top of Mt. Roberts.

Still trying to track down a definitive answer on the Elite excursion rebate, refundable or not. Sorry, it seems to be a difficult concept, but, from what I can tell on our own statement, it is refundable. We had used all of our OBC on excursions and still show a refundable balance with no non-refundable.

I was told I’m probably doing something wrong when I order drinks and give my room number to the waiter, and that’s why charges keep showing up on my account. Bad, bad me!!

How do we find your blog??  Would love to read more about your trip!

I am booked on the Regal TA (11/3). If we cancel, it will be because of CD (Covid) not CD (Cruise Director). From his rambling overdramatic FB post, it is understandable why he is moving on.

I read over his comments a few times, looking to see what this will mean for other/furture Cruise Directors.  Did anyone pick up some hidden messages on what will change?
