  1. We were in PR703 for the April, 19 nights Panama Canal round trip LA. A letter stating the choice of SBC or Sanctuary will be either included with all other first night materials on top of your bed or brought in several days later. The person in charge of Sanctuary will also call to confirm whether you want to reserve a free chair or have the SBC instead. You can also go down to the front desk to let them know your decision. The SBC will be credited to your account on the day when you enter the Canal. In our case, we got the $120PP since we went through the locks on both directions.

    LOVE the PR balcony.

  2. Exactly..and we wondered why it was even posted here on the Princess blog.

I am sorry if the post offended you, I didn't post it under the OLD Amex $500 thread and the post did say booking with Carnival.com, just thought it will be useful for cruisers whom had used the old Amex offer and whom also cruise with Carnival..

  3. Just got an email from Princess about a "drop and go" deal on the 14 night Crown Princess transatlantic departing 3 April for only $799pp (inside)/ $1539pp (balcony)...only problem...

Same ship, same cruise, same day, booked at a large on line cruise agency is $689pp/$1077pp

The $799 includes a $150 shipboard credit PP. If you sign in to Princess account, the Inside is $599PP, Balcony is $899PP, NO OBC included.

  4. Not sure if they recently added the service in LGB, No Lyft/Uber was allowed to pick up passenger at LGB on Oct-12 when we landed there. You can walk about 1/2 mile to the Cell-Lot waiting area and call for service. We took a taxi instead.

  5. Gina, We spend 1 month in Nepal in April 2001, trekking in the Annapurna region and did safari in the Chitwan National Park. We tried to get on the Everest flight twice in the 1 week period, both times the flights were cancelled due to cloudy weather, this was waiting 3 hours at the airport each time. So, be prepare that the Everest flight is not always possible. We did see the peak of Everest on the flights between Bkk and Nepal. Kathmando is very interesting to visit, don't missed out on the main attractions. We took Gingo tablets for AMS but acclimation (?) is most important to avoid AMS.

Thanks for the info for the Lhasa permit.
