    Do you have any info as to what the priority seating actually entails? I have my doubts as to whether this will actually ever be something that gets used.

     

     

     

    Also, did the priority embarkation work as described?

     

     

    Just back from our Escape (febr 4) and Getaway ( feb 12 )cruises.

    In the terminal you can take the platinum/platinum plus/ ambassador line. Then go to a special waiting area for those members. Someone picked us up on the Escape and escorted us,we were one of the first ones on the ship. The next week on the Getaway we were in this same area and when the first boarding group was called , it look as they forgot us. So the whole group start walking and then we board but there was already a big line.

     

    We were on febr 4 one the first day after they started the program, but on our second one Platinum Plus was on our keycard [emoji6]

     

    We liked the free minutes internet, but you have to go to the internet manager to " put " it on your account. We also did the Behind the scenes Tour on the Escape, go to the cruise next desk.

    Another " bringing liquids on board " question

    I know there were some changes about taking water onboard.

    I didn,t pay much attention because we never do that.

     

    What about not drinkable liquids , such as perfume, shampoo ,sunlotion etc.

    I always put them in my suitcase when we travel by plane.

    But then I put them in my carry on bag .

    Is this still possible , or is everything now " on airplane mode"

    Don,t want to hand over my Hugo Boss perfume , I asked Santa [emoji319][emoji3]

    Florence & Pisa On Your Own Excursion question??

    Was the meeting point to leave at the same location as where it started in Florence? I'm trying to plan our time there before we arrive.

    Yes it was. I don,t know of course if they still use the same location. The tourguide specific mentioned to meet her again at the point she left us and not go searching for the spot were the busses left us.

    I found that this Piazza was very close to the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore .

    You are one of the first busses to leave the ship. It was more than an hour drive to Florence. I think you have around 4 or 4,5 , maybe 5 ours to spend there. Then on to Pisa, we had not so much time there because of the delay. But as I said; the ship was waiting for us [emoji6]

    We did this excursion by NCL a few years ago.

    The bus could not get into the old city centre. The tourguide took us from the bus parking lot and walked us to the meeting point ( 15 min walk I guess) That point was Piazza di Santa Maria Novella, I remembered there were public restrooms.

    She told us to meet her at a specific time. But a lot of people were late. Than traffic to Pisa was very heavy and we left Pisa late and arrived after final boarding time.

    But It was an NCL excursion , so the Jade was waiting for us. I was so glad I booked via NCL , worth the extra money .

    Howl at the Moon sounds a bit like a show we have here in Holland, it ,s called Crazy Piano's and is a lot of fun. So I want to see that for sure.

     

    Also the Waterfront is what I,m really looking forward to.

     

    Great to find so many info here on CC. [emoji106]🏻One thing I also learned is to look on your cruise voucher if you should board at terminal B or C

    In februari 2017 we booked the Escape and Getaway

    First the Escape , one night Miami , followed by the Getaway.

    Really looking forward to it.

     

    We only cruised on the Jewel/Jade and Dawn/Star class.

    So we know by now what to expect on those ships and liked it very much.

     

    What,s the big difference besides the amount of passengers and that these ships are much larger. Tell me all about it.

     

    (For example shows; I was used to look up in the freestyle daily what kind of show there was and if it was something for me I just go to the theatre. No I read a lot about pre booking -shows. Most of the days we go with the flow , never know what time we head for dinner, changes day by day.)

    Epic/Europe Terror Threat -- are you worried?

    Our daughter booked a trip to Turkey, and I am worried a little bit after the terrorist attacks in that country , so I spoke with her and asked if she is sure about this trip.

    She said; do you cancel your trip to Miami after what happend in Florida a few weeks ago ?

     

    The answer is No ! I don,t want terrorism to rule my life

     

    My thoughts are with the people in Nice [emoji632]
