  1. I just wanted to let everyone know what might have changed in the past 14 months (since the last post).  I emailed this morning to request the status match adjustment.  I received the following reply:

    Good morning,

Thank you for contacting M life Member Services. In order to be Tier matched with Royal Caribbean, you must be present at an M life destination. We are not able to provide assistance for Tier match over the phone or by email as you must be present with your photo ID for security purposes. we apologize for any inconvenience.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,

    Gaby

Based on this email, they do not do phone or email matches anymore.  Has anyone been successful in doing either in the past few months?

  2. Karen, I Still Have A While Until I Sail from galveston. April 2018! I have been researching flights and they are quite a bit higher than I expected. Also Looking Around For locations for one or two nights precruise but will wait to book that until I get a better deal on flights. We gave 3 cabins so far with maybe 2 more. People flying from 2 locations.

  3. For anyone wondering about vouchers, I was just on Harmony last week and can tell you about my experience. There was a paper in the cabin when we arrived that detailed the benefits of the Eat, Drink, Play promotion. There were no vouchers, just this paper. We entered the cabin exactly at 1:00 PM and someone knocked on the door about 10 minutes later with the bottle of wine. When I stopped by Jamie's Italian to request a reservation, they put in my cabin number and knew that it was included with my Central Park Balcony. They made the lunch reservation for the next day and verified that it was a no-charge lunch. When we got there for lunch, they provided a special, small menu that only had two or three choices of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. They told me that they used a limited menu for the Eat, Drink, Play cabins.

  4. Andrew, I love your posts and your periscopes. I just got off of Harmony on March 11! I had a great time on the Abyss and the water slides.

Have you seen/talked to Louise, the Loyalty Ambassador? This is the last week of her contract and she will be getting off when you do. I spoke with her several times as I received my first crystal block last week.

I was wondering if you could please do me a favor while you are on the ship. If you happen to have time and go by the Schooner bar during her hours there (her desk is to the left side of the Schooner bar), could you please ask her about something for me? She sent an Ovation of the Seas block to my cabin. I told her about it on the morning of our last sea day. She had me bring it back to her because she had no idea that she even had the Ovation blocks on Harmony as they are supposed to only get "their" blocks. She told me that she was going to send the correct block to me and got my cabin number (11229). I thought that since she asked my cabin number that she meant she was going to send the correct block to my cabin. It never arrived in my cabin and I completely forgot about it until I got off the ship. If you happen to be in the Schooner bar and see her at her desk, could you please ask her if she was going to mail it to me since I did not get it in my cabin? The name is David Elliott and it was for 140 points. I was going to call C & A, but figured that since I found someone on the ship now and since she leaves in a week, maybe I could get better or quicker answers by going directly to her since she will be getting off the ship soon. I understand if you don't have the opportunity to go by, but if you do, I would appreciate it. If you prefer, I can give you my email address and we can communicate that way, instead of on your live blog.

  6. ValerieJo, I was on the Jewel with you this past March. What an amazing two weeks!

I noticed from your signature that you will be boarding Harmony on the day that I will be getting off!

I was just looking at Southwest's schedules this morning (since they just opened today) and found a 10:05 AM flight out of FLL going back to North Caroline (RDU). I was debating on whether to book that or not. It is only $110 and the next available leaves at 11:00 AM for $132. The first flight is non-stop, but the next one goes through Chicago.

I looked up my cruise notes and found some details:

When I sailed on the Oasis in October 2010, I had a 2:00 PM flight out of FLL. We got luggage tag number 61 out of 86. Our suggested departure time was 8:20 AM to 8:40 AM. They were a little behind and didn't call our number until 8:45 AM. However, we were in a cab at 9:20 AM and walking in the airport at 9:30 AM. We had to wait in the airport for about 4 1/2 hours. Southwest didn't accept checked luggage until four hours before the flight, so we had to wait 30 minutes before we could even go to the counter to drop them off.

When I sailed on the Allure in February 2012, I had a Delta flight out of FLL at 10:15 AM. I did not keep detailed info on the times for this cruise/flight, but we made it in time for the 10:15 flight and we NEVER do self-debarkation. I think that we used luggage valet and checked our bags to Raleigh so we didn't have to collect them in the cruise terminal and load them into a cab.

  7. For those of you that have actually done this and said that you got the taxes/fee refunded for the "no-show" and were not charged anything by repricing the fare due to the change from two to one, did the one person who actually sailed get the extra point per night for going solo since Royal had their money for two passengers or did you still get the single point?

I thought that since they refunded the taxes/fees for the "no-show" then they would consider it as a solo passenger and award the extra cruise points.

  8. Joymouse, what dates for that November cruise? I thought maybe these are the ones that were put in the space that was the small part of the dining room that was used for the diamond breakfast. I was on the jewel for two weeks in march. I might be interested in checking out the prices for those.

  9. I was wondering the same thing. I have two cabins booked on harmony and we have my time dining. The ta said we couldn't link them and Royal said there was no need to link since we did not have traditional dining. They said we could book all entertainment separately without having an issue. The only other few times that I traveled with 2 cabins we also linked them but we had traditional dining and had to link to be at the same table for dinner.
