Universal Studio? We are docking in Long Beach. Is it totally crazy to try and go up to Universal Studios for the day? Ship's itinerary says we are in Long Beach from 7am to 11pm.

Is the brewed coffee at the espresso stand far superior to what is offered at the buffet? I love dark roast coffee in the morning.

I assume you are cruising out of Port of Miami? Per other posts its about a $85 cab ride from Ft Lauderdale to the Miami Cruise Port. I just called Larry's Limo Service http://www.larryslimo.com/, and he said they charge $70 plus 20% gratuity. They come recommended from other posts here, so that is what we are going to use.

We are staying at the Hampton Inn in Ft. Lauderdale. - I have always been happy at them, free breakfast. The Miami hotels are a lot more expensive.

Anyone know how much a taxi will cost from a hotel near FLL to the Miami Cruse Port? Trying to decide between that and transport/shuttle svc. We are a family of 3.

Do all the beaches have a place that rent snorkel gear? We want to snorkel but aren't bringing anything with us.
