Awesome review. And great pictures. Thank you very much for sharing.
Great review Darth. I first of your name from reading a live thread from Brilliance by Mr Fun in the Sun. It's so good to have this kind if forum for us cruise peeps.

A submarine in port with us at SJ
The motorcycle group loading their bikes
Thanks for the picture of the submarine. It is definitely an older 637 class. As you can probably guess by my handle that this use to be my main ride to the Caribbean. Needless to say, I prefer to ride in a cruise ship.

I don't, but I can't imagine they're very much, maybe a couple bucks each.

On Allure last week, they were around 5 dollars, however they did have mini- cupcakes for like $2.50 and cake pops for like $1:50. I'm assuming it'll be the same fleet wide. A cupcake decorating class was $25. Hope this helps !

Allan Brooks is the BEST cruise director! I've had him twice and both times they were the best cruises. Does he still do the breakfast thing in the pink robe?
I've seen both of them on the Discovery Channel Specials on Allure and Oasis, neither in person, but it looks like you can't go wrong with either of them.

Loving it so far. Looking forward to reading about the bar hop as we're doing it in February.

Great pics!!! Especially that pretty sunset! I've driven over that bridge to see several Rays games in St. Pete, but never quite saw that view of it. Enjoy your evening and will follow along the remainder of the week.

and here i present my "inside" stateroom because i'm cheap..
all right all right, you caught me..... It's not an inside room. But i did book an inside room on deck 4 back in august. So apparently this sailing has had difficulty filling the ship. After reading some scuttle butt on my roll call and another thread i belong to about this sailing and new additional ta friend from posts i saw i checked the pricing again two days before sailing.... Had checked a couple weeks prior too. Anyways the pricing for me to bump up to a balcony so i could become an official balcony snob seeing as i had one on my last cruise.. Was the same price... Well $5.00 more. So here i sit in my d1 balcony mid ship on deck 9...errrr i mean my inside cabin. :-)

Sorry about the change in fonts and font size and bolds in my first post. Every time I copy and paste writings from Microsoft word to this it always messes up and I have to adjust it once pasted here. Sometimes even with fixing it some, it still doesn't work right. :-)
When I went to one of my spare guest bedrooms to get a suit case in order so that when I pack later tonight or tomorrow morning, I found this.
Looks like Andy is trying to gain a free ride on a cruise again. :D
Guess I'll see if he's still lingering around when I pack or if he's moved on.
Subscribing! Truly enjoyed the Allure report and looking forward to following the exploits of Andy. Since I'm only an hour or so from Tampa, I'll enjoy reading about Port of Tampa and Brilliance. Hope your internet is better than on Allure

Thanks for the heads-up. Do you know if they will measure you when you get there or if you have to provide measurements before hand?

Thanks for posting ....
Could anybody answer a question for me? How much does it cost to rent a tuxedo on board. I don't own one but maybe if the cost on board is too prohibitive, I'll just buy a used one from some formal shop.

Wow, we had a B2B booked for Jan 19 & 26, 2014.....Dodged the bullet but it has been awfully tense in the last week. Missing some time in ports doesn't phase me a bit. As far as I am concerned, been there, done that. I am going for the ship and I have no problem spending more time on it. Kudos to RCCL for getting the repairs done asap, I am sure it isn't as easy as some posters have suggested.
I do feel sorry for the cruisers who were booked on the Feb. 23 cruise and wish them all the best. You never want to see that happen to anyone.
Cheers everyone...
Zantac, a lot of us are on the 19th of January. Come on over and join our page.

I would assume that just because it was the western itinerary wouldn't propulsion be an issue there too?,?

The only problem I had with Ken Rush was he was so full of himself. Everything was a Ken Rush production.
