We were on this cruise also and had a blast! While I did notice some wear and tear of the ship, overall I thought it was in great shape! I am at a loss as to why so many people give bad reviews? There were waiters at the pool taking drink orders and all staff seemed friendly. Our stateroom attendant was good and the dining staff was much better than anything we experienced on the Independence recently. There was a group of 6 of us that did this cruise, and my brother and his wife who only cruise Disney, were impressed enough to book another cruise with Royal. Seriously, I thought the crew and the ship were fantastic and would have no problem traveling again on the Adventure (sans dry dock).
PS: We had a great meet and mingle with our cruise critic friends!
Oh my gosh, we were to join the meet and mingle and completely forgot ! I agree, the ship, along with staff were all very pleasant. I was very impressed with the Deck Partol on our sea day !! That was just awesome 😎😎😎😎

We just returned from our sailing on Adventure. We didn't see any of the wear and tear some other reviewers noticed. We did, however, have issues with our shower every morning!!! Cabin 1390 never had hot water expect in the afternoon :( also our toilet failed to flush on the first morning and overflowed into the floor , it was quickly taken care of and we never had a problem after that.
None of that ruined our cruise! We had a great time, enjoyed the food, the bars and all 5 wonderful ports! We booked a future cruise while onboard 😀 Sorry this is a short review, but back to work .. And cooking my own food!??!! Ugh. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Happy Sailing !

SHIP APPEARANCE & CONDITION----
As soon as we boarded, everything felt very similar to our Liberty OTS cruise several years ago. Both RCI ships we have been on together are so much more impressive than Carnival. Public areas are decorated better and much less gawdy on RCI. However, the need for Adventure's upcoming October dry dock is very apparent to anyone who has cruised at least once or twice. Will try to post some photos of some public areas and our cabin after I get this all typed out. Our balcony, for instance, had severe rust issues and the balcony door frame had an entire corner that had separated from the threshold to the room by about 3/4 of an inch. Carpeting in most public areas and our cabin was worn out. Multiple elevator buttons throughout ship did not work. Air conditioning in public areas was spotty at best. Forward elevator banks and stairwells of ship, decks 6-12 did not seem to have any air conditioning working at all. Heard other people say stuff about poor air conditioning as well.
Thank you so much for this review, we sail In about 4 weeks! I am actually pleased with the spotty air conditioning , as I freeze my butt off most of the time when I'm inside the ship 😂 Looking forward to the pics , thanks again!

Our experience with the taxi service was not great. We went to dispatch. Got a taxi drive "Zephy" who seemed super nice, helpful and was to be with us for the day. The day started out great but he actually left us at the beach! Calling taxi dispatch was of no assistance. A taxi driver with the non-orange shirt happened to have room in his taxi van and got us back to the cruise port. Not a great experience so I say be aware.
Ha! I just call this a good story to tell later! We took a motorbike with a rickshaw contraption to a beach in Domin Republic , and just bummed a ride back to the port in a very crowded mini van , that I'm fairly sure wasn't a taxi at all!! Good times 😃

We're not sure , we have 2 booked with another line simply because we got a good deal. I wanted to cruise this July as well but prices are way too high :( We may have to give up cruising altogether :( nothing seems very affordable anymore to this blue collar worker :(

We had cabin 9275 April of this year . From what I could tell the cabin was standard size and the balcony was probably 15 to 20 feet long . We loved it, we had 2 chairs , a small table and one lounger .

Snagged a D1 aft for 1700. Ish total! Gratuities already in due to My time dining.We had no intention of sailing with Royal for awhile as we have a future certificate with another line , but this was too good pass up ! Thanks Rccl :)

:D Ncl changed our departure date after we booked due to the early release of the Getaway.... or at least that's what I believed to be the reason, any way I guess I am just too lazy to change it... or i live in denial lol

wow you guys are great! We are going to St. Thomas so I will definitely try the Cruzan tasting booth,and I think we plan to tour Mount Gay Distillery in Barbados:D I am certain I will be able to find my friend something amazing.

At least some Cruzan flavours are usually available onboard from the duty free shop.
Personally I'd do what azappraiser suggested, Cruzan isn't that good compared to "hidden" local specialities. ;)[/quo
I never drink, except when on a cruise..after a snorkel trip..on a catamaran..whatever they pour in my cup is what I am drinking:D
my Knowledge is sorely lacking,I had planned on picking up the Guavaberry from St.Maarten,however someone posted that it tastes like cough syrup.Nope,that wont work.

No reservations, however the line for the ice show starts about a half an hour before the show , and it's really good !! Don't miss it!
We did my time ..... We signed up for 6 pm on the first night and they kind of wouldn't let us waiver from that time the rest of the week😱😱 we dined the 2nd night at 7:15 ish and we were told to please try to be there no later than 615 . ...we were perplexed , what part of this is 'my time?' 😂😂anyway we did adhere to their schedule but NCL has this concept down pat ! No biggie tho .
