  1. Just completed a Lift and Shift, March 21 to March 22. We were also able to use our 6 free nights, kept the OBC, and the price went down just a few dollars because of a change in port taxes. In addition, the new stateroom is more midship where DH prefers. Out TA took care of this quickly with no problems.

    Hi Manc,

We are on the same sailing and would like to Lift and Shift to March 2022; however, that sailing has not been published yet and our TA said it is therefore not available to book.  It is a little stressful as the L&S program is scheduled to end on August 1 (first world problems I know!).  Could you let us know if you hear anything different.  Thanks - hope to see you on board!

We are also on the Capetown to Lisbon sailing and while doing a little reading this weekend on the Lift and Shift, the date of September 30, 2020 was mentioned as the deadline for notifying Azamara. Hopefully I didn't imagine this and we still have two months to make the decision. Also, it seems as if the sailing in 2022 is 20 days rather than 21, will this impact our ability to L&S?

  3. Anyone stayed in one on the starboard side. We’re close to plunging (pun intended) for 8036.

We stayed in 8040 for 16 days in November. Would book the cabin again in a heartbeat. We did hear furniture being moved a few times, but it never awaken or disturbed us.

  4. We were on NA in aft 5188. Very nice location. Sometimes we could feel a vibration, but I am not sure if this is specifically for the aft, or in general. Didn't bother us.

We will be in 5188 for a 20 day TA in October and have read many conflicting reports on the size of the room and balcony. My main concern is the issue of storage and if the cabin and balcony are about the same size as the port or starboard VB's?

  5. Welcome to the "Shoe Diva's" Club Paula..9 Pair is just about right for a 20 day cruise.. I normally take 8 or 9 pair.on our longer cruises...

I must confess that on our 68 day cruise I actually took 11 pairs of shoes & wore them all.. Was able to wear heels at that time, but have not worn heels lately, so not sure if I still could wear them.. But I will NOT throw them out, even if it's just to look at them..

BTW is that a little pincher I see for your avatar?

Throwing them out is not an option, I have moved those 4 inch (what was I thinking) heels into the closet of one of the spare bedrooms! Occasionally try them on only to find I get no farther than the bedroom door. Oh well! Actually my avatar is my Rottie, Dash.

  6. Thanks for your review. We will be on the Nieuw Amsterdam in November, first HAL cruise, and your review has given me some good information. We had concerns about the aft balcony cabin storage and you have confirmed what we thought. Also, we now know we made the right decision moving to deck 5 from 8. Again thank you for the honest informative review.

  7. Hi All,

Just logged into Celebrity website to see my reservation (and check prices again - still no reduction...:p)

We booked during the 123 go offer that gave us free classic drink pkg and 300OBC as our perks for sailing Europe.

I cannot see any link or tab to click on that says we have these things. My TA says she put it in, but I feel a bit nervous as our final payment is due this weekend and nothing is listed on our reservation.

    Is this normal??

    thanks,

We had the same problem and like you we were concerned about the perks not showing. Finally, after 3 calls to Celebrity, today we received a confirmation showing all of the perks for the 123 Go promotion. Also, we were told that Celebrity is experiencing some difficulty with adjusting the confirmations, because they had no idea the number of people that would book. As cle-guy suggested have your TA get in touch with Celebrity as soon as possible.

  8. Hola softball 20. The black market for the USD aka "dollar blue" is quite simple. Most restaurants accept American.Always ask what the rate is in advance,if the restaurant gives you,say 12,00 for you Dollar that is OK

Customary tip is 10% if possible try not using your credit card because you end up paying more for each transaction.@ a stated rate of approx. 8.5

If you plan staying for a couple of days than you might want to change some American into Arg$ because cab drivers will accept pesos only.Ask at your hotel for some advice on this.Florida pedestrian is teeming with currency traders just make sure not to venture out on your own.

Last but not least prices are very inexpensive at most restaurants and a good bottle of mabec goes for just pesos 200 or less--about $17,00 and if you want to try our best beef go for Lomo or fillet Mignon.

    Buena suerte--good luck--

enjoy your stay in Buenos Aires.

You have answered so many of the questions I had. Your information will be quite valuable upon our arrival in Buenos Aires next month. Thanks so much!:)
