  1. All the businesses are afraid of being sued by Fluffys owner for discrimination. You, the business, can not even ask for paperwork. All that can be asked is "What service is your dog, ferret, monkey trained to do?" Therefore allowing a large loophole for abusers making it harder for true service animals and their owners.

These animals are pets and not true support animals with no training what so ever.:(

Somehow this fake act of service has to be brought to the surface and exploited for the scam that it is.

  2. We did a Bermuda cruise during May and the weather was cool, definetly did not swim. First day there was 60 degrees, second was 65 degrees.

The area by the pier will take up a whole day, lots to see and do. Loved the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory and the free tastings. Ask politely for more samples....taste all the flavors and walk out with a nice buzz. Buy a cake and enjoy the buzz in your cabin.

Bermuda is expensive, so be prepared.

  3. Any idea which bars/restaurants on Oasis serve both ice cream and liquor? I never would have thought to order that, personally I typically stick to beer and whisky, but a little something sweet now and then always puts a smile on my face.

You'll have to get the ice cream in a cup on the Lido, then go to any closeby bar. I brought my DH a Root Beer Float that I "made" Many wanted to know where I got it. It's fun to be creative!:D

  4. I never said it does. I myself have more than just a couple, actually. I'm all about the deluxe package!

What I said was that if you don't like the alcohol prices, don't drink. And if you absolutely HAVE to drink, I believe by definition, that would make oneself an alcoholic.

There is a big difference between having to have a drink and wanting a drink. I want a drink, but may not partake if it gets to expensive, or if I do, it will be few and far between.

It was stated above that it is no different than needing to eat, and no it is not. People don't have to drink alcohol to live, but they do have to have some sort of food.

There are plenty of free drink options, you are choosing to drink alcohol, so it really is the same thing. Don't want to pay the high prices for some drinks, drink the free ones. If enough people stop consuming, then prices will come down, it is the law of supply and demand.

OK, I agree with both of you and all you said. We do get the Deluxe or what ever it is called, package so we don't have to worry about a huge bill and probably break even. We are on vacation, we are celebrating something special, and there is nothing better than seeing an afternoon movie with a cold coffee concocshion (sp) with whipped cream, carmel, baileys and a cherry on top. That's something we never do at home and I don't even know the name of it. Yummy! And a very nice afternoon!!

    Friends?

  5. Thank you. We are all in control of our own wallets on the ship and alcohol is not a required purchase. If someone feels that it is, I suggest he/she seek treatment, because alcoholism is nothing to joke about.

Just because someone wants to enjoy a few cocktails on a cruise each day does not make one an alcholic...........and please say Grace at your table, not mine!:*

  6. Good prices on Ovation 16 night SYD-HNL April 17, 2019 (at least compared to same leg on Radiance). Just called and booked.

According to the redeployment desk an hour ago, NO one has booked and NO one has a cabin on hold. We on the cancelled Exployer Cruise are to have first crack at the bookings, and can't book until tomorrow. Were you on the cancelled Explorer? We and many other have been screwed!!:mad:

  7. The folks on the cancelled Explorer TP were to be given first crack at bookings. Some of us were able to book, most of us NOT. The folks in AUS/NZ were lucky because of the time difference. The booking site has been closed down until tomorrow.

All of us on the cancelled Explorer have been screwed!!! I talked to a rep of Michael Bailey named Kally Maghoo and also the redeployment deck, a woman named Kathleen.................no one knows what the hell is going on and giving me and all of us on the roll call different answers ..............we are so disgusted about how this is being handeled.

  8. Anyone know where Ovation will be between 30 March and 17 April 2019?

Presumably something similar to what Explorer was doing as they swap on 29/30 March location.itineraries.

Not quite, we have had the Explorer TP and the cruise before it canceled with no alternative offered. Awaiting the Ovation replacement, but now two cruises, leaving on a different date and arriving at a different port.:*

  9. On our last cruise our cabin was decorated with Diamonds.

The cabin steward had the obligatory red carpet laid out for us and a nice bottle of Moet chanpagne on ice for us.

After he presented us with the Premium Drinks Package i excused him of his duties for a few hours.

Yes, that's how it should be. I would have done the same! Our stewart even showed up with personalized stationary, Monogrammed robes, postcards of the ship, and personalized mugs.

Upon returning home, we discovered all our bills had been paid, the cars were topped off with gas, and the grocery shopping had been done. Even the dog was washed and groomed. Maybe I should have left a bigger tip? I just can't be bothered with all the math. I'm just so special!!

  10. What is the entertainment like on Ovation? We have sailed the Anthem, so what would be comparable to We Will Rock You, the Gift and Spectra?

Also sailing out of Sydney, will smoking be allowed in the Music Hall casino? I'm sure smoking is not allowed on any sailings out of Sydney. Hopfully the Music Hall will be returned back to the Dance Hall with live music that it was meant for.

  11. We just arrived back in San Juan this morning after the first half of our B2B. I was pretty tired so the captain delayed sunrise for a couple of hours so I could get a little extra sleep.

Once again having status makes all the difference.

    I love when that happens!!

  12. On one cruise we had room for more people at our table. On the second night the MD came over and told us that another couple would be joining us. He told us they were a bit unusual but very delightful and he thought they would fit with us and asked us if we would give it a try.

Well, our interest has been peaked.....there were two other couples besides ourselves. We all told the MD that yes, we would welcome them.

He left to escort them to our table. We had no idea what to expect. He returned with a fully tatooed couple. They were our age......the age of Aquarius. They were shunned by their original table and were asked to move. They were tatooed from head to toe......everywhere, but we clicked and they were very interesting, unusual in the nicest way. We made new friends. The other tables loss was our gain!:D
