Yes I know the dinner is Sunday night. The flight leaves UIO at 12:30 AM Monday morning. I am trying to figure out if we have enough time for dinner or should skip it.

We are looking at Galapagos during a school break. We have a redeye back from UIO to go straight to school. It departs at 12:30am Monday morning. The itinerary says there is a dinner the last night after the cruise.

What time is it? We will not stay overnight and tour the city on Monday and leave Tuesday am.

The owner of EZ Cruise Parking posted a video showing flooding in Galveston which will affect his outdoor lots where some of the Breeze and Liberty passengers are parked. Some cars may have water damage.

Well everytime I come here, I get a pop up from CC that says "KNOW MORE THAN THE CAPTAIN". Clearly Barry and others just KNEW more than the captain and that NOLA was an option for Liberty.

Once again the Celebrity reps and apparently those on this board who appear to know it all were wrong. My friends called me half an hour ago. They are onboard the ship and will continue with the rest of their cruisetour. I don't know other details about the how or why, but they are thrilled to say the least.

I don't quite know what you are asking. You already said Celebrity told them they cannot board. No one else is going to tell you anything different. The Passenger Vessel Services Act applies to this situation.

We all know what the phone reps tell people CAN be different from what happens on the ship. I was looking for stories from people who either did it or know someone who did it.

Well it really doesn't matter if they should have flown in a day in advance. This is what they did. I am trying to find out if anyone has been able to or know of anyone who has been able to board in these situations. Surely they are not the only ones who have had this happen to on this routing...fine or no fine.

They had Celebrity Air which promises to get them to the next port. The FINE per the website is $300 per person.

Flight delays caused my friends to miss the ship's departure in Vancouver yesterday. Celebrity says they cannot board because there are no more foreign ports and the PSVA. They are willing to pay the fine. Has this happened to anyone and were you able to board or know of someone. Did you pay the fine? Were you able to board in Ketchikan or Juneau.

Some friends of mine were sailing on Celebrity Xperience in the Galapagos. They said another boat sailing with them sunk on Thursday and the ship helped rescued everyone on board. There were no casualties.

Just so ya'll know. It is NOT 50% off your next cruise. How it works is they take 50% of the value of the cruise fare (before taxes) of the cruise you are on and send you a coupon which you can use towards your next cruise.

To call if 50% off your next cruise is truly a misnomer.

Royal Caribbean not online monitors cruise critic, but in the past has paid people to post favorably about it. It was all over the news years ago and I am almost positive it still happens!

I use Groundlink to get to the airport or I use Uber when I get off the ship and walk up to the next pier for the Enterprise.

. One could hope that some good might come out of this tragedy, such as stricter pre-flight weather standards if that proves to be the cause.

Why on earth would anyone suggest this? You do not need more regulation for an accident that has happened four times since 2007!

Hi neighbor! Sadly my local TA after years of very expensive trips, only "once" in 20 yrs gave me a single $50 - OBC. Acted like it was the best treat ever, she also charged $25 for every single reservation, never mind the $1000's in commissions she made from cruises such as Regent, etc.

 

No you won't get a cent from a local TA. On your trip speak with fellow travelers about who they use. My TA came from a fellow CC member (in another CC life) a couple years ago.

Google "luxury cruising" several will come up, start there!

Do you get money back from your attorney, doctor, dentist or myriad other professionals that you deal with on a daily basis? How much of YOUR income to you give back anyway? What business is it of yours how much she makes as part of her job.

A good travel agent can arrange this.

They can go faster to Boston since no one will be carrying food back to their rooms and therefore there will be less messes to clean up if they hit rough seas!
