  1. I have a Carnival cruise booked in 2020 from Port Everglade. I noticed a post cruise excursion for  an airboat ride through the everglades and an alligator show when I looked a few days ago. Bus takes you to FLL when finished. I think the price was in the $50 range.

  2. My husband and I are booked on the Glory on her first cruise out of New Orleans, March 2. The only reason I booked is because a Grand Scenic View cabin was available. I've wanted to have one of these cabins for a long time but I've never been able to find one available. I have a feeling someone that had this cabin cancelled when the Glory was switching ports while the Triumph went to drydock.

In Progresso, I'm contemplating doing the Holy Guacamole, Salsa & Margaritas Beach Cooking excursion.

  3. Do you get them from Carnival or AARP. Been on both web sites, and can"t find them.

Go to the AARP website and click on Rewards for Good. To be able to purchase gift cards you have to register, then take the quizzes to earn points to redeem for the cards. A $100 Carnival gift card will cost you $90 and 1,000 points. You will see a link to redeem points and that's where you find the gift cards.

  4. I find it interesting that neither the Inspiration and Imagination appear in Los Angeles after May 2016 on the Carnival booking engine nor does the Miracle after October 2016.

I think either the Inspiration or Imagination will be moved to a different port on the west coast.

Maybe Miracle will go to Tampa or New York.

  5. We did the winery excursion through Carnival. We enjoyed it. Went to two different wineries, sampled wine and appetizers at both. Received one free bottle per person from one of the wineries. Learned about the wine making process and toured the facility at one winery. Price was reasonable.

  6. I got a kick out of seeing that John Heald used one of my photos from my Carnival Freedom review today as his Facebook cover photo.

He used this shot, which I'd have to say is the best shot I got during the entire cruise:

We had a brief chat via Facebook today and he told me that someone sent him the photo and he didn't actually realize that it was one of mine. He's used quite a few of my cruise photos as his Facebook cover photos before... one day he changed his cover photo 3 or 4 times and they were all my cruise photos!

It's always fun when my photos get some fame on John's page!

John really should acknowledge that the photo was taken by you. You deserve to be recognized as the photographer of such a great shot. Whom ever is sending the photo's to John needs to supply him with this info. By the way, today he used another photo of yours.
