I'll be cruising solo on HAL Veendam March 13 - 20....looks like an interesting itinerary.

I had the same problem today and I did an online chat with a rep. It wasn't taking all my credit card info for some reason, it just took the card number. I got to the end and thought I was done, but wouldn't let me continue. He walked me through it and it worked.

Does HAL still offer their roommate matching service?

I ignored the first one, but kind of liking the second one :)

I'm driving to Miami, and it said something like "if you have flexible travel plans and want to beat the rush"...

Two days ago I received an e-mail telling me not to come to the port to check in until from 1-3 PM. Today I received an e-mail saying if I wanted to beat the rush to come and check in between 10:30 and 12:30.... Any idea why?

Last March I had a balcony for the first time. It was so windy the whole cruise we could barely use it. You couldn't put a cup or anything else down without it blowing away, and forget about reading a book or magazine.

Favorite is to run up to lido and get huevos rancheros and arepas from Blue Iguana Cantina. Then grab some watermelon salsa and take it to eat on the balcony. This is after we have had wake up coffee and croissant with guava jelly from room service.

 

Favorite in MDR is eggs Benedict with sauce on the side so it is hot.

Sounds like a great idea...I always have the room service coffee and croissant with guava jelly, never been on a ship before with the Blue Iguana Cantina so I'll try it next week on the Conquest!

Last year when we cruised I paid the same as you said for the texts, but didn't have to get any package.

I knew nothing about this and was just on the website last night browsing...I had seen that Priceline had been waiving she single supplement charge. Was looking at an ocean view room and a button popped up that said VIPF Free Cabin. Ended up with an ocean view room on 7 day cruise on the Conquest for $35 plus taxes, etc. Was afraid they were going to say it was a mistake until I read these posts!
