Yes I've just had my TA that the website is correct and shell update her info!

Thinking a Hunter Valley wine tour may be in order before the cruise!

I did a Hunter Valley Wine tour a couple of years ago and brought on 4 bottles of wine no problems.

I am boarding QE on the 20th and will be taking a carton wine on board to enjoy over Xmas/newyear.

  2. Really enjoying your posts LadyL1.  Look after QE for me as I board her on 20th December in Adelaide.

I hope the weather continues to improve.  I am surprised that everyone wants early sitting!  I have always preferred late sitting myself and every cruise I have been on, everyone wants late!

    Continue having a great time!

what lovely photos. we are booked on a Christmas cruise from Adelaide on QE for 2019. Already looking forward to it . Thank you for sharing them

Are you on the Christmas/new year cruise for 2019/2020?  If so, so am I.  I can not wait to see the ship decorated and the christmas atmosphere.

  4. I made my QE booking for Christmas/New year for 2019/20 and I made my original booking in March 2018.  I checked again in November and the price had dropped and I contacted my TA and I saved just over $3500 on my cruise.  Mind you I did loose my $250 OBC.  Gee I think the saving more than covers that..LOL.

  5. I did the Panama Canal earlier this year and organised a private tour in Puntarenas - Costa Rica. Not sure if you are stopping there or not. It was a great tour and everyone enjoyed it.

The tour company was Thumbsuptours and we did the Puntarenas Highlights 10 in 1 Mega Combo Tour.

The cost depends on the amount of people but we paid approx $70 us each.

  6. Have you looked at Trip Advisor.

As many times as we have been to San Francisco I always take another look at Trip Advisor for additional options.

I am going to recommend a hotel that is not often mentioned but I think is a nice hotel and close to tourist areas and a short ride to the cruise ships.

The hotel is Argonaut and their web site is: http://www.argonauthotel.com

    Hi,

I have stayed at the argonauth hotel before and can recommend it. In fact I will be back in San Francisco in early March next year (after a cruise) and have booked the argonaut hotel again.

  7. There'll be a system in place to make sure they get it to you in time. And if not, there's a kiosk in the terminal where those who have registered from home but haven't yet received their medallion can simply pick it up.

thanks for the information. I look forward to trying this out in Feb next year.

  8. I for one are interested in seeing how this works. I will be on Regal in Feb 2018 so hopefully all the kinks are sorted by then.

Also they say they will send it to your home for you before you leave. Interesting to see how that works for People that do not live in the US. I am from Australia and will be leaving about 1 week before the cruise so wondering when or how I will receive it!

  9. All depends on what type of harbor view you want.

I am looking at the Pullman at Circular Quay for next year with a Harbor view.

These are like a 1 bedroom apartment with balcony so you can sit out side and may be a bit cheaper.

There is a kitchen and a laundry in the apartment. There is also a restaurant at the Pullman if you want to eat out.

  10. One thing that annoys me about Princess is that for example they have a Sip and Sail promotion available to US market and do we get that down in Australia. Noooo.

Will probably get the lame regional market promotions blah blah blah excuse if I phone. Rant over. :D

I spoke to a Princess Rep. on the weekend (cruise Show) and they said that Princess Aust. would NEVER have that promotion here!:(:(

I have 2 cruises booked for 2018 both sailing from America and I can not get the promotion...Very sad!:(:(

  11. Too bad only teh US region gets this promotion. UK and Australia miss out again.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

  12. I am doing the full transit in 2018 and can not wait. It does not matter what ports start or end for me as it is a long flight either way. (Australia).

I thought while there I might as well do a Caribbean cruise as well so am doing a 14 day Caribbean cruise first.

Might as well make the most of it!
